HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-04-08 Min - Board SPECIAL MEETING • April 8, 1991 The special meeting of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District was called to order by President Aguera at 7 : 02 PM in the TDPUD Board Room. ROLL CALL: Directors John Corbett, Richard Curran, Pat Sutton and Joe Aguera were present; Director Jim Maass was ill and unable to attend. EMPLOYEES PRESENT: Andy Hyde, Peter Holzmeister and Susan Craig. CONSULTANTS PRESENT: Counsel Phelps and Consulting Engineer Keith Sauers. OTHERS PRESENT: Karl Kuttel. PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE IMPOSITION OF WATER STANDBY CHARGES FOR PARCELS WITHIN PLACER COUNTY The public hearing was opened at 7: 03 PM. Responding to Karl Kuttel's question, Mr. Holzmeister stated that . a total of 172 written notices were mailed to owners of vacant parcels subject to the water standby fee in Placer County. The question of imposition of the increased fee would have to be put to a vote if 26 or more protest letters were received. Only two protests were received; therefore, the increase could be implemented immediately by the Board. There were no other comments, and Director Corbett moved that the public hearing be closed at 7 : 04 PM; seconded by Director Curran. All Directors, aye, by voice vote. CONSIDERATION OF AN ORDINANCE FIXING WATER STANDBY CHARGES ON LANDS WITHIN THE DISTRICT BOUNDARIES TO WHICH WATER IS MADE AVAILABLE AND PROVIDING MEANS FOR COLLECTION THEREOF (PLACER COUNTY ONLY) Director Corbett moved, and Director Curran seconded, that the Board adopt ordinance No. 9105 fixing water standby charges on certain lands within the portion of the District' s boundaries encompassing the County of Placer to is made available which water and providing means for collection thereof. ROLL CALL: Maass, absent; all other Directors, aye. SO ORDAINED. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the Board, Director Corbett moved that the meeting be adjourned at 7 : 06 PM; seconded by • 4/8/91 Pg 1 Director Curran.
