In accordance with District Code Section 2.08.010, the TDPUD minutes are action only
minutes All Board meetings are recorded on audio tapes which are preserved perpetually
and made available for listening to any interested party upon their request.
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District was
called to order at 7:02 PM in the TDPUD Board room by President Hemig.
ROLL CALL: Directors Joe Aguera, Ron Hemig, Tim Taylor and Bill Thomason were present.
Director Patricia Sutton was absent.
EMPLOYEES PRESENT: Alan Harry, Mary Chapman, Ed Taylor, Mark Thomas, Sanna
Schlosser, Steve Hollabaugh, Peter Holzmeister, Pat Waite, Ian Fitzgerald, Nancy Waters,
Jim Wilson, Tami McCollum and Barbara Cahill
CONSULTANTS PRESENT: Steve Gross
OTHERS PRESENT: Frank and Juanita Schneider, Pat Davison, Al Ferrantine and one other
member of the public.
PUBLIC INPUT
There was no public input.
PUBLIC HEARING - AT 7:00 PM or as soon thereafter as possible a public hearing will be held
for the purpose of receiving written and/or oral comments from members of the public regarding:
ADOPTION OF AN INITIAL ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY AND PROPOSED MITIGATED
NEGATIVE DECLARATION RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW SIERRA
MEADOWS PUMP STATION
President Hemig recused himself from the dais because he works with developer near the project
location. Vice-President Aguera took the gavel and continued with the public hearing.
There was no public comment
ACTION ITEMS
CONSIDERATION OF AN INITIAL ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY AND DRAFT NEGATIVE
DECLARATION FOR THE PROPOSED DONNER LAKE ROAD TANK PROJECT (FILE THE
PROPOSED NEGATIVE DECLARATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL INITIAL STUDY WITH THE
OFFICE OF THE NEVADA COUNTY CLERK, WITH RESPONSIBLE AND INTERESTED
AGENCIES, AND WITH THE STATE CLEARINGHOUSE; AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION
A NOTICE OF PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARING)
Director Taylor moved and Director Aguera seconded, a motion to authorize staff to file the
proposed Negative Declaration and Environmental Initial Study for the proposed Donner Lake
Road Tank project with the Office of the Nevada County Clerk; authorize staff to file the proposed
negative declaration and environmental study with responsible and interested agencies and with
the State Clearinghouse; authorize staff to publish a Notice of Public Review Period and Public
Minutes May 4, 2005
