The meA1618 of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public
Utility District met in Special Session at 8 P. M. to canvass
the returns of thevotee cast at the Special District Election
held on this date and there were present the following Directors:
C.E.Smith; T.O'Hanrahan and C.B.White. C.E.Smith, president,
presided.
The result from the single precinct in the district having been
received at the time of the meeting, the Board proceeded to can-
vass the returns of the Special District Election held on this
date, at which election the electors of Truckee Public Utility
District voted upon the following proposition:
Shall Truckee Public Utility District incur a bonded
indebetedness is the necessary amount of Twenty Thou-
sand ($20,000) Dollars, for the acquisition, Construction
and completion by the said district of a public utility,
to -wit: A system for supplying electricity for light,
heat €obd power to the inhabitants of said district, in
accordance with the plans and estimates filed and adopted
by the ➢hectors of Truckee Public Utility District,
Which bonded ixdebetedness shall bear interest at the
rate of six (6) per cent per annum?
Upon the completion of said canvass made in the manner required
by law, the result of said election was found to be:
For the proposition: 210
Against the proposition: 79
Scattering: 4
Total votes cast: 293
Thereupon, it appearing to this board from the returns of said
election that more than two-thirds of the xmi:asn electors voting
thereat upon said proposition voted affirmatively, upon motion
of Director White, seconded by Director O'Hanrahan the following
resolution was unanimously carried:
RESOLUTION NO. 5
The Board of Directors do resolve:
VYINM8, at the special district election held this date
the following proposition was submitted to the qualified electors
of this district:
Shall Truckee Public Utility District incur a bonded
indebetedness in the necessary amount of Twenty Thousand
($20,000) Dollars, for the acquisition, construction
and completion by the said district of a public utility,
to -wit: A system for supplying electricity for light,
heat and power to the inhabitants of said district,
in accordance with the plans and estimates filed and
adopted by the Directors of Truckee Public Utility
District, which bonded indebetedness shall bear interest
at the rate of six (6) per cent per annum?
And, WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has met at its usual
place of business on the first Monday after said election and all
returns from the one preoinet.in the distridt at said election
having been received at the time of the meeting,
And. WHEREAS, the Board has canvassed the return of said_
election, the canvass being made in public and by opening the
returns and estimating and determining the vote of the district
upon the proposition voted upon,
NOW,THEREFORE, the Board does declare that the whole number
of votes cast in the district was 293; that the proposition

submitted at said election was as hereinbefore set forth;
That the number of votes given for the said proposition
was 210 and the number of votes given against the said proposition
was 79; and there were f 4 scattering votes cast at said election;
And it is further declared that more than two-thirds of
the electors voting at such election upon the proposition voted
affirmatively and that the proposition was carried by a sufficient
vote to warrant the issuance of district bonds for the acquisition
construction and completion of the public utility described in
said proposition.
No further business coming before the Board, tie Board
adjourned.
