Jan. 23, 1960 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in regular meeting at the office of the District on Main St., Truckee at €3 P.M., C.r2,Smith, president, presiding. Upon roll call the following members were noted preseht: B.Tonini, W-F-Wilkie, Jr., and C.E. Smith. The min,Ates of the previous meeting were rend and approved. The following bills were read and on motion made and carried were ordered paid: C.Edmunds, Sal to Jan.20------------- $60.00 ,,&Swift, supervising Quarantine officer accompanied by Quarantine officer Matta appeared before the Board and asked that the Board consider the feasibility of building a line to the Truckee Quarantine station and serving the station. Mr.Ssrift stated that the service they were now gstting from the Sierra Pacific Power Co. was costing his department to much money and that with the service of the District at the rates now in affect they could make a saving of approximately 25 percent. After some discusion the Board stated that afetr they had obtained figures on the cost of construction and the probable revenue they would give the matter further consideration. Mr.H.Straine accompanied by his assistant W.Hale attended the meeting and stated that he would begin the audit of the Districts books the next day.
