D.D. Smith. 1dr. Gaiennie announced that they were here for the purpose of dis- cussing the water situation as it related to the fire fighting purpose. He stated that at the last two fires they had exper- ienced difficulty with the eater. It was brought out by president Smith and Manager Edmunds of the District that there was plenty of water in reserve on both occasions and that at the Cottage Motel fire the difficulty seemed to be due to too much of a draw down on the main by having two hydrants in operation at the one time. In the case of the fire which destroyed the 1.irchner houses the .... lack of water in the early part of the Fire was due to a valve -drain on the main being open at the east end of the bridge. Fire Chief Dolley stated that the Department had no knowledge of this valve. After some further discussion relative to the obligation of the Fire Commission and the District with respect to hydrants, and valves. It was suggested by president Smith that Fire C ormissioner Gaiennie and Manager Edmunds draw up an agreement outlining the ob- ligations of each party and submit it to the Board. No further business appearing, Board adjourned. r ex -of ficio secretary preent
