The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
District met in special called meeting at the office of the District
on Main St., Truckee at 1:30 P M1 E L Loynd, president, presiding.
Upon roll call the following directors were noted present:
C R Heller B W Reynolds E L Loynd
Also present were Dean Kingman, Engineer for the District, Lee
Nisbet of the Armstrong Realty Co., and Mr. x7J. Judge, Secretary
of the Donner Lake Development Co.
The preliminary report on a water works to serve the Donner Lake area
was again taken up and T.'11r. Judge was acquainted with the fact that
the Directors of the District expected t?)e Donn Pr Lake Co. to raise
the money necessary to finance the water worl"s as nron-)sed in the
report to cover the west, end of the la'{e . In the engineers .report
this was a total oft482200.00 I ;-ut inasmuch as tl'-is did not pro-
vide for service connections to the mains, he was advised that the
average cost of such connections wnul d I- e $30. and inasmuch as the
Donner Lake Co. had promised water service gar to the consumers
pro-erty line orithin this area, that 130. for each lot 1-aid out in
the subdivision in this area would also }-ave to re provided by the
Company. He was further advised that the District believes that
this entire system for the west end should 1-e co istructed and com-
pleted before the District took- over t' e mai r_tenance and onera.tion,
and that all 'right of ways' should 1--e de4ded to t��e District, to-
gether with whatever land may be necessary around Green Point
Springs and for a pumping station along the western s1,ore of the
lake.
Mr. Nisbet stated that any more subdivisions in that area of the
lake would be sold under the proviso that an Assessment District
W would provide for the water service needed.
Mr. Judge brought up the question of the sale of the present
water system serving that area being made to the District, and
it was agreeable with the Directors that the price agreed upon
under such. a sale should b. e included in the sum that would be
covered 1-y any refund made to the Company ( y the District under
a 3 5io guarantee return on the gross sales.
Discussion followed on Unit W3, covered in the en.ginbers report
which was planned to serve the northeasterly shores of the lake.
No committments having been made in this area by the Donner Lake
Co. for water service to the rurchasers of lots in any proposed
subdivision, it was agreed ly all_ rresent t.hnt the District
could construct a water service to serve tti,i s area under an
Assessment District. It 11-eiizg the i,itention of the Company to
lay out further subdivisions in the near future to the eastern
coundaries of their- land, it i,,ras felt that one Assessment District
should cover all present and proposed subdivisions.
Mr. Judge stated that Fr. Emmons, rresident of the Comrany could
not be present at the me-ting v ecaiise ifa rrevioi.is engagttent -and
that therefore he was present only to ta'.e notes and that the matter
would be broiight up for consideratio.n before t�-. e Foard of Directors
of 1-,is Company and the District v.Tould be advised of their decision.
