HomeMy WebLinkAbout1950-04-25 Min - BoardTruckee, Calif. 4V' Aril 25, 1950 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in regular meeting at the office of the District on Main St., Truckee at 8 P M., E L Loynd, president, presiding. Upon roll call the following directors were noted present: C R Heller B W Reynolds E L Loynd Also present was F. M. Horne, who was protesting the payment of a minimum amount on his final rill of October 1949 to the amount of $7.50. Mr.Horne claimed that he only had service for a half month and was willing to pay for the actual usage, vt ich was 99 Kw. He stated that he felt it was an in justice because his success- or had also paid the full minimum of 7.50 for the same month. The Board assured him that they would give his protest their con- sideration. After some discussion it was moved and carried that an adjustment of Mr. Horne's bill IDe made and that the amount between the actual usage and the minimum charge or a total of $2.55 be re- funded, The minutes of the meeting of April llth were read and approved. Anderson- labor 58.10 Accountant White's reports for the month of March for the Eledtric and Water Systems was presented to the Board and after perusal by the members they were ordered filed. Chairman Loynd announced that the trustees of the Tahoe -Truckee Unified �- School District were meeting at the Elementary School and had invited the Board to the meeting to discuss the electric service for tre new High School, located on Donner Road. The Board then adjourned to meet with the trustees. At the meeting of the trustees the architect and Board outlined the requirements for the new high school. F. Gaiennie, representing the Sierra Pacific Power Co. was also present. After some discussion the Utility Board members announced that they would consider the matter and advise the Board of trustees under what terms and conditions the District might serve the High.
