May 9, ; 1950 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in regular meeting at the -)ffice of the District on Main St., Truckee at 8 P M. , E L Loynd, president, presiding. Anderson- 't 30.00 Manager Edmunds reported that the Hassler Lbr. Co. had started building a mill at the west end of town and that they were desir- ing our service and that the same would cost in the neighborhood of $6000.00 . Chairman Loynd reported that the Tahoe -Truckee Unified School District were prepared to pay the District the $2000.00 for the land along Donner Road as soon as they received a letter from the District agreeing that they may take ur the ootion th^t they had upon the land. It was moved and carried that a letter to this effect be sent to Superintendent O'Rourke, of the School District. Some discussion took place relative to a more convenient time in which to hold Directors meetings. It was moved and carried that meetings be held in the afternoon at 2:00 P M., the next meeting t to be held on May 30th at 2 : 00 P M at the office of the District. A discussion took place relative to the financial condition of the District, particularly the water system. It was felt that more revenue was needed to adequately maintain and improve the system. It was thought that the Fire District was not ra-vi ng a rrorer proportion of the mai.ntainence of the system and It was moved and carried that the Board of Fire Commissioners of tYe Truckee Fire District he invited to attend the next meting of this Board to discuss an increase in the payment for water servi^es for fire protection.
