June 13, 1950 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Pul;lic Utility District met in regular meeting at the office of the District on V Main St., Truckee at 2:30 P M., E L Loynd, president, presiding. Manager Edmunds reported th--?t the money for t1!e deed to the land of the High School pad not been received as vet, =?1_so the advance for 7rater service, recuested had not teen received, 1�ut that t?-e water line had been installed up to the ironert;T line of the school and was now ready for service. The Manager advised that the Truckee Lumber Co, was now receiving service over the new line L-uilt by the District, 1 ut teat the trans- formers necessary for the final operations had not , een received as ,7,et. A letter under date of June 12, from the Community Facilities Service in San Francisco, relative to the District's application for an advance I oan was read and the Ma.naber reported he was referring the contents thereof to Engineer Macabee for his action. The Manager reported that fir. J. :i. Sanders had called at the � office on June 4th and had stated that he was awaiting the action of the Utilities Commission on his request to turn over the customers of the Sanders System to the District. Dr. J . 1.. Dernard, Chairman of the Bol.rd of Truckee Fire Commissioners, being present it was explained to him that the District needed more rett_rns from the Fire District to cover the increased cost of fire s ervi.ce performed bjr the District. Dr. Bernard expressed himself as opposed to any increase and suggested that the matter } e submitted to the Commissioners Icy letter. .i It was moved and carried that the firm of 1. Straine Vic. Sons of Sacramento he hired to audit the 1 ooks of tY e District for t're term beginning January 1,1949 and ending June 30, 1a50. if . J . Riordan, a mennb cr of t' e Trucjree Fire Commission next called on the roard and he was advised t: •�t Dr. 7� ernard of the Eoard had teen rresent ': 11 , had left, and' ai,ain t'7.e needs of the District for an increase in naT-r.ent 1-.y the Fire District was explained to Mr. Riordan as being due to the greatly increased cost of operation of the T^fater Sjrstem of the District. He advized that the Commissioners would take it up at their next meeting. A motion was made and carried that the salary of foreman Steve Kolos be raised from 4325.00 per month to �:350.00 per month. Manager Edmunds reported that the Cemetary District had asked for an estimate of the cost of sup; lying water to the Truckee Cemetary District on the Hobart Road. A rough estimate had been submitted to them for their meeting being held this day. Manager Edmunds reported that the high hill for the month of March from the SPP Co. had been taken up with the Co. and an error discovered, giving the Distri^'- a credit of Y6406.98. No further business appearing, Board adjourned. Ex=Officio Secretary President
