January 30, 1951
The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public
Utility District met in regular meeting at the District office
on Main St., Truckee, at 2:30 p m., E. L. Loynd, president,
presiding.
Upon roll call the following directors were noted present:

The minutes of the meeting of January 9 were read and approved.
The following dills were read and unon motion made and carried

The attached Resolution was iptroduced and read and upon motion
made w.4s unanimously carried .
The reports of Auditor White for t?-i e Electric and Water Dept for the
month of Dec were presented and after perusal by the Board members were
ordered filed.
Manager Edmunds reported that the semi-annual payment from the
Truckee Fire District in the amount of. $900.00 had been received and
that this would indicate that an increase had been granted by the
Fire Commissioners to the District of :llp"600. per year. It was moved
and carried that a letter of appreciation signed by the Chairman of
the Board be sent to the Board of Fire Commissioners with assurances
to them that the increase granted would be used to further maintain
and improve the fire fighting facilities of the District.
A financial statement for the month of January indicating the total
deposits and expenses was presented to each of the Board members.
Manager Edmunds reported that four new hydrants had been ordered to
rerlace defective and obsolete hydrants now connected to our system.
Communications under date of January 19, 22and 30 from T L Chamberlain
nil
and to Assessor Tamblyn, of Nevada County, relative to placih SL
a tax on the District for the fiscal near 1951-52 were read,,,
and ordered filed.
Manager Edmunds reported that Supt. O'Rourke of the Tahoe -
Truckee Unified School District had telephoned on Jan 15th
to state that the School District had had no answer to their
letter of December 27th.06 Architect Stafford regarding the
question raised of the al-ilit,T of tre District to give good
service over their lines to the new High School. hairman
Loynd stated that he would endeavor to get some further in-
formation in regard to the same
Manager Edmunds presented a numler of uncollectable tills
and after some discussion it was decided that the Churches
should not be classified as uncollectable, gut - should be
made an allowance.. It was therefore moved and carried that
the amount of $56.62 covering the amount due on the Catholic
and Methodist Churches be charged off as an allowance.
The names and details owing on the uncollectables were then
read and it was moved and carried that the amount of 4294.73
be written off the books of the Electric department, $37. 5
in the water department and $8.10 from the outstanding
Garbage collections of 1949.
A letter from Mr. T. L. Chamberlain under date of Jan 27,
and Jan 15, regarding proposed amendments to the Utility District
Act were read. Also a proposed addition to the Act relating to
consolidation of certain Districts with. a Public Utility District
which he had drawn up at thi.-s��Districts request.
Manager Edmunds explained in brief the rurposes of the Act as
drawn up and stated that he felt that some of the sections
should be clarified, particularly one relating to the government
by joint boards of the consolidated districts. He informed the
Board that it was his purpose to consult with Mr. Chamberlain
and. endeavor to have the Act clarified while in committees
A letter under date of Jan 18 written to H I Snider relative
to a right of way for a pipe line across Spring Block 3, to-
gether with the copy of a new Agreement drawn up was read to
the Board. No answer having teen received from Mr. Snider
the matter was laid over until next meeting.
Manager Edmunds reported that he had written to -Mr. W. E.
Zerbe, Field Engineer of the Fairbanks -Morse Co. for relp
in determining the trouble ��eing experienced by too much air
in the Gateway water system. To date Mr. Zerbe had not
arrived.
No further business appearing, Board adjourned.

VIHEREAS: The Board of � Dire-ctors of �!7uckee Public" Utility
District on January 24, 1928 did pass Ordinance #7 wherein
the District elected to avail itself of the assessment made
by the Assessor of Nevada County, and
•.j'HEREAS: A copy of Ordinance #7 was -filed with the Assessor
of Nevada County on February 4. 1928, and
TWEEREAS: It is the intent of the District to levy a tax on
the property -within the boundaries of the District for the
year 1951-52 j,.. _and
,dHEREAS: The boundaries of the District are as follows:
"Starting at the corner common to Sections
28 and 29, 32 and 33 T18 NR 17E, thence
Westerly along the Section line common to
the said.Sections 29 and 32 to the corner
common to Sections 27 and 28, 33 and 34
T18 NR15E, thence Southerly along the
Section line common to Sections 33 and 34
to a point common to Sections 15 and 16
and it ' s intersection with the Nevada -
Placer County line T17, NR15E, thence
Easterly along the said Nevada -Placer
County line to a point where said line
intersects the Section line common to
Sections 16 and 17, T17, NR17E, thence
Northerly along the said Section line
common to Sections 16 and 17 to the point
of beginning.
All of said territory being in the County
of Nevada "
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That a copy of this Resolution
be forwarded to the Assessor of Nevada County, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That he be requested to assess and
evaluate the property within the above described boundaries
and notify the District.as provided by law.
