The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
District met in regular meeting at the District office on Main St.
Truckee, at 2 : 30 p m. , E L Loynd, president, Presiding.
Upon roll call the following directors were noted present:

Following and attached Resolution # 5101 was read and on motion
made was unanimously carried.
The financial statement for t�:e month of February showing the
balance on hand at the close of this meeting in the electric and
water funds was submitted to the individual board members for their
perusal.
A communication was read from Mr. T L Chamberlain under date of
Feb 5, relative to need for making application for the use and dis-
tribution of the sources of water now used by the District. Manager
Edmunds reported that some forms for making application had been
received from the Dept of Public Health but there was apparently
one more form necessary and a request had been made for the same,
Manager Edmunds reported that he had been act ivb in organizing
a California PUD Association and submitted the tennents of the
Mumma proposed Association. He stated that considerable interest was
being manifested by other PUDs in ;oining together for our mutual.
benefit. He stated that he had met with Mr. S in cla it of Chamberlain's
office regarding the rroposed amendment to our Utility Act respecting
the annexation of other districts to the Uti litt.T District. Several
sections as original".y su'Umitted were to be rewritten to eliminate
the objectionable features. Conies of the revised promsed amendment
were to be sent to the District as s.-)on as rossl c le .
A discussion took place relative to the general election and it
was pointed out that the numter of electors necessary on nomination
papers would not less than 23 nor _more than 27. It was noted that

the terms of E L Loynd and E W Reynolds would expire th is ,
year, and that the election for their successors would be
held on Tuesday, Play lst . Manager Edmunds reported that
notice of the election together with dates that nomination
papers must be filed had been given to the Sierra Sun for
general information.
The manager reported that Foreman Steve Kolos had submitted
his resignation to become effective February 28, 1951 on ~'
account of family difficulties and that he had arranged to
have T. E. Patterson, a former employee of the District '
take his place at a salary of $325-00 per month, with a
promise of a raise to 4350.00 at the beginning of 1952.
It was also noted that no word had yet been received from the
Tahoe -Truckee Unified School District relative to serving the
new High School.
A communication from Fairganks-Morse & Co., under date of Feb.
21 was read relative to air in the Gateway Water System and
the advice that their field engineer in Reno would call and
help - u8' out' -with -this trouble.
