The members of the Eoard of Directors of th.e Truckee Pub'_ic Utility
District met in regular meeting at the District office on Main St. ,
Truckee, at 2 :30 p m. , E. L. Loynd, president , Presiding,
Upon roll call the following directors were noted present:

A letter dated i. eb 15 addressed to Gordon Stafford, Architect
and signed by Carl R, Koch, which had been received during; t1le
past week from E v O'Rourke, Supt of the Tahoe -Truckee Unified
School Dist. relative to the District serving the new High School
through its present lanes was read and 1�anager .Edmunds reported
that the work of connecting up the school with our lines would be
underta'Aen at an early date, and that the Districts lines from the
substation out to the new school site would be considerably strength-
ened to ta'�e care of new loads in that area .
Cop yr of a le-Cter dated Apr 5 to Richard L. Loke , Di.r of bureau of
Reclamation, relative to tEr e possibility of the District getting
Shasta Dare power wheeled over PG E lines, was read and dz scussed.
Cory of a letter dated Tv1arch 20 sent to Local Draft Ed at Burbank
relative to Dr, h Affeldt beirg deferred was read before t e Board,
�. Manager Edmunds reported he had received a letter from 1�r, Char�� er-
lain, relative to a _need for sending out sample hallots at the
General election, In view of the limited time and expense involved
-- in sending out these sample ball_ ots , Man �.�er Edmunds reported
th`� t no sample ballots were 'r eing sent out .for the General election
cut serious consid erati -)n sh oi.il_d �-, e �:ri_ven to sending out such
ballots in trl e future,
Manager Edmunds gave a report on his trip to S"acrariento on April
9th to appear before the Legislative Assembi_v Committee in behalf
of certain bills effecting our District. He stated teat powerful
interests were at work against these .ills, and that a further
hearing on some of the h-1*11m.s, was to take p1a c e on April 23.

Mlanager Edmunds brought up the
matter of reorganizing the
District official family after
the reorganization of the Eoard
following the General election
on May 1st. He explained
that he felt that the terms of
the Utility Act relative to the
Districts operation should be
lived up to more closely in the
future, due to the increasing business done by the District ,
as well as the greatly increased
size of the District,

to the fall flood conditions, about 1/3 of the na sture had ; een ruin-
ed. He offered to pay '7��, for this year and to reseed the flood- -
ed area.- It was moved and 'carr*led. that' ME-. of'fer be accepted as
pasture fee for this year,
