Du:e to the financial condition of the District the consideration of the same was tabled. The Manager reported the visit of H E Rhud , Materials Engineer for the Division of Hig'­ways, who was interested in obtaining gravel in the Meadow Lake Park area, The Manager also reported that while se-geral people were interested in the -acquisition of land in the Meadow Lake Park area that no definite sales were in immediate prospect, -. The DIanager reported that the line from the South Springs that had been washed out in the flood of November 1950 had eenrFeplaced during the past week and that pumping from the South Springs ,was now baking place into the town tunnel-, also that persons unknown, presumably children, had been damaging the aluminum roof of the valve house at the tunnel by throwing rocks on the same, The matter -of the -water main across to th-e South side of the Truckee river for fire ptotection was discussed but no action taken pending the construction of a temporary bridge by the County. 174
