December 28, 1951
Due to the regular rieeting date falling on Christmas Day the Board
of Directors of the Trucl,-ee Public Utility District met' at the office
of the District on Main St., Truckee on the above date at 2:30 am.

Upon roll call the following directors were noted present:

Manager Edmunds reported that the trouble that Mr: Mattos had com-
plained of by the installation of an additional transformer.
The Manager submitted a list of 13 uncollectable bills totaling w72.26
for electricity and 42.75 for 'dater and after consideration it was
moved and carried that the above amounts be written off as uncollect-
able.
Communications were read from T L Chamberlain under date of Dec 11,
relative to the Sierra Pacific Pw Co. encroachment within the original
boundaries of the District. Also one under date of d)ec 13, relative
to the new policy of the District effecting extensions in new sub-
divisions in which Mr. Chamberlain had asked for a personal consul-
tation with the Manager.
Manager Edmunds reported that he had met with Mr. Chamberlain at
Auburn on December 20, and that the above matters had been thoroughly
discussed, and that in respect to the Sierra Pacific Power Co that
it was the intention of Mr. Chamberlain to draw up a statement
for submission to both the Company and the District, outlining the
future policy . It was the insistence of Mr. Chamberlain that any
policy effecting new subdivisions would rave to show no discrimina-
tion between private individuals and the District in its operation.
It was moved and carried that the 'olicy adopted by the Directors
with respect to extensions of water Mains in new subdivisions
would be adhered to in any subdivision of the District's own lands
as well as those of private individuals.
The manager renorted that at his meeting with Mr. Chamberlain
he had brought up the matter of Mr. Joseph building a new store
over the right of way that had been obtained for the water main
from the steel reservoir on the north side of Highway 40, connect-
ing with the Gateway distributi6n system. Mr. Chamberlain had
advised that to protect the future interests of the District,it
would be necessary to have Mr. Joseph enter into an agreement
providing for future repair and maintenence of the pipe line
under this building, and that after he had drawn un the necessary
papers he would contact Mr. Joseph respecting the same.
The balance sheets for the month of November for the Electric and
`eater Dept. as made out by Auditor White, were submitted to the
Board members and after perusal of the same they were ordered
filed,
No further business appearing, Board adjourned.

A committee consisting of E H Risden, T Forneman, W. Philippi,

and stated that they were httemnting to get the Board of Super-
visors to do some work on the roads in their area.
