he had brought up the matter of Mr. Joseph building a new store
over the right of way that had been obtained for the water main
from the steel reservoir on the north side of Highway 40, connect-
ing with the Gateway distribution system, Mr. Chamberlain had
advised that to protect the future interests of the District, it
would be necessary to have Mr. Joseph enter into an agreement
providing for future repair and ma int even ce of the pipe line
under this building, and that after he had drawn up the necessary
papers he would contact Mr. Joseph respecting the sane,
The balance sheets fair the month of November for the Electric and
`dater Depto as made out by Auditor `White, were submitted to the
Board members and after perusal of the same they were ordered
filed.
No further business appearing, Board adjourned.

The Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District
met at the office of the District 6n Main St., Truckee at 2 :30 p m

A committee consisting of E H Risden, T Borneman, W. Philippi,
L I Russell, from the Meadow Lake area arnea red before the Board
and stated that they were kttemnting to get the Board of Super-
visors to do some work on the roads in their area.
They had been informed by Supervisor Loehr that the first
requirement would bo have the Utility District dedicate
the roads to the County. The Board unanimously voiced the
opinion that when the Board of Supervisors desired to take
over the roads that the Utility District was prepared to
give them title to the same. The committee thanked the
Board members and withdrew from the meeting,
Communications were read from Paul U. Chamberlain, under ,
date of Jan 2, relative to violations of the agreement between
SPP Co. and the District, and notifying the Board that he had
in preparation a new agreement which would clarify the pres-
ent differences.
Also a communication from T L Chamberlain addressed to R.
Joseph,under date of Dec 28, was read relative to the policy
of the District regarding water extensions in new subdivisions,:
also the matter of certain store buildings owned by Mr. Joseph
that had been built over a certain right-of-way deeded to
the District. A letter dated Jan 5 from IIr. T L Chamberlain
addressed to the District relative to the same subject matter
was read in which Mr. Chamberlain stated that after talking
to fir. Joseph by telephone he was drawing up an agreement'
for submission to Mr. Joseph and the Board, relative to this
certain right-of-way.
The Manager. submitted a written statement of the outstanding
liabilities to customers as of Dec 31, 1951,to each of the
Directors and some disbussion relltive to the same took place
after perusal by the Board members,
The financial statement to date was also submitted to each of
the Board members,
The Managerbrought tip the question of the collection policy
that was being followed by the District and after some
discussion of the same it was the unanimous oninion of the j
Board that a tightening up of the collection policy would be �
desirable,
No further business appearing, Board adjourned.
