May 13, 1952 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Pull i c Utility District met in regular meeting at the office of the District on Main St., Truckee, at 2 : 30 P M. , E I, Loynd, President, presiding. Upon roll call the following directors were noted present: C R Heller H T Langille E L Loynd The minutes of the meeting of April 29th were read and approved. The D'anager reported that Mrs. Gifford had asked if some adjustment could be made in the hill. After some discussion it was moved and carried that the bill be adJusted from �107.32 to the sum of � 80.00 . #1 A communication was read under date of Play 1 from attorney C W Bridges of Grass Valley, representing A B Polyanich, owners of the building in which the District is located, serving notice on the District to vacate the premises June 1, 1052, die to the Bank of America purchasing the T uilding. Aldo a letter of May 9th to l*rs. V Russi of Sacramento outlining .jL -rorosition for the District to lease her building located under tre 'Masonic Hall. Also a letter dated Mlay 11_th received from *"irs. Russi agreeing to the conditions outlined, except for the purchase price which she stated would be t1 e sum of 4>7500.0'% Uron arrroval of the Board it was decided that if the Bank had rude other arrangements for our Present office space that tre District would take tre necessar'r steps to enter into a lease for the Russi property, as outlined in our letter of T-`lay Gtr . In the matter of leasing the lvlieadow Lake property to R. Emerson for grazing for the present season it was moved and carried that rental for the same would be set at w900.00. A communication was read under date of 14ay 1 of a letter sent by the District to Attorney Chamberlain wi.tr reference to an outstanding bill of "521.90 of Ferguson r ro s. Suppler Co. covering service furnished to their crushing plant on the Truckee river. Also copy of letter dated Ya.v 2 from Attorney Chamberlain to Ferguson Bros. demanding payment of sane. Also a numl er of tills received as at this date, dated Mat, loth from Ferguson Bros. in the amount of-454.75 coverinL repairs to a numl,,er of their motors with a check attached in the amount of P66.16, cote of which amounted to a total of. 8521.00. T�anager Edmunds read a letter dated Ma,; 12 which he had prepared to send al one* to Attorney Chamberlain asl--i.ng him to take the necessary steps to collect the bill in full-, and enclosing the aforementioned check and tills s for his information. The Board unanimously approved the action of the Manager. A communication was read from Attorney Chamberlain under date of May 1 with reference to the pipe which R Joseph had offered to sell to the District. Rau, manager of the Trucl-ee hall Team had been in the office relative to the use of the ball park grounds for the summer season and had stated that liability insurance for damage on the gro nd to outsiders was too high for the Club to carry and that the Club would be satisfied with a verbal agreement for the use of the grounds whenever their schedule called for a :anager was instructed to write to Attorney �;arne at Truckee. The 1` Chamberlain for advise as to any liability that might be incurred by the District, in the use of these grounds by the Full C.lab. A communication was read under date of May 2 from the State Department of Public Health with reference to the water system of the District, which outlined in considerable detail the history, sources and distribution system of the District and gave some per- tinent facts about the water supplied by the District s system. The communication was referred to ManaEer. The matter of the offer of Mrs. D. Ca'-ona for the purchase of the interest of the District in Lot 1, Plock 3 of Donner Lake Lakeview Subdivision was brought up and it was moved and carried that the interest of the District in tr,i s lot .-e sold to Tyirs. Cac.ona for the sum of 4"'20C:.00 inasmuch as sbe was the ri_grtful_ owner of a half interest in tl�e same, and the Foard felt that this sum was fair and eouitalt:le and as much or more than coup? -e o'ctained from any other party.
