The Managerreported that the new Sensimatic Billing Machine
had been delivered but that certain Parts were missing on the
machine and it could not be operated until a certain control
panel had been received.
C. A. Tollef son appeared before the Board and stated that he would
be interested in purchasing the Meadow Lake Park Property and asked
that the Board give him a little time to endeavor to arrange for the
financing of the same,
No further business appearing, Board adjourned.

Due to the Manager's attendance at a U S Senate Pub l i c Works
f�
hearing in Reno on control of flood waters o=Truckee -River, the
regular meeting of the Board was postponed -to this date.
The members of the Board of Directors -)f the Truckee Puri is Utility
District met in regular meeting at the office of the District,
on Main St., at 2 :30 p m. , E L Loynd, president, presiding.
Upon roll call the following directors were noted present:

Communications were read dated August 7-Aug-8- Aug 22 and Aug 26,
between the Manager and Pahl H. Chamberlain, relative to the
Codification of the Public Utility Act. The Manager explained
that upon approval of the Codification by the legislature it should
be possible to get a copy of the Act for each of the Directors at
a nominal sum.
A communication was read under date of August 15 from G W Malone of
Nevada relative to a public hearing on the control of the flood
waters of the Truckee River, also answer to the same under date of
August 16 by the Manager and the copy of a written statement under
date of August 26, submitted by the manager at the public hearing
in Reno outlining the position of the District.
A communication was read under date of Aug 19 from the Inter -County
Title Co. in which they enclosed their escrow statement covering
the deed to Janet E. Leary together with their bill and check in
the amount of $9Z4.40.
The Manager reported that he had an inquiry for the purchase of
approxivAately 10 acres of the Meadow Lake property for a fish pond,
but had advised the people against such location due to possible
contamination of Donner Creek.
The 'Manager reported that W. Rindef.leisch had made a verbal offer
of R 75.06 for the body off the old Dodge truck. It was moved and
carried' that the offer be accepted.
The Uoard members stated that, their had teen some pibl is discussion
as to the quality of the water of our Gate'11av s-rstem and it was
moved and carried that samples of this v,ater from both the Hospital
and new High School be sent to Afflecks of Sacramento for analysis.
Auditor White's monthly reports for tr:e Electric and Water s-�,-sten
for the month. of July was submitted to Vile Foard members and after
perusal of the same were ordered filed.
The Manager reported that Mr. Flagg had called at the office and
indicated his interest in our Meadow Lake Park property and that
he had taken a copy of a map of this area for study and consideration.
