E E Boehm, Tahoe Forest Ranger appeared before the Board regard-
ing the US Forest water supply furnished by the District.
Manager Edmunds reported that due to the excessive use of water
by our customers, particularly in the Gateway area, the major
portion of the McGlashan spring supply was being diverted to the
Gateway reservoir, leaving little if any at times to supply the
reservoir of the Forest Service. He stated that the present change
in the weather should make the local demand drop sufficiently to
keep the supply into the Forest Service reservoir ample from now
until next summer when it was agreed that some other steps would
have to be taken to supplement the supply furnished to the Forest
Service reservoir. It was agreed'',, by Mr. Boehm that the matter
should be given further consideration by all concerned to endeavor
to insure a reliable supply for the Forest Service.
The Manager reported that in the matter of Ferguson Fros. outstand-
ing dill, the papers had been sent to the Sheriff_ of Nevada Co.
by Attorney Chami-,erlain, attaching, a large Crawler Crane, but that
in telephone conversation with Mr. Chamberlain he had advised
changing the attachment to some more portable type of eouipment;
which the i:anager had done by giving the Sheriff a letter author-
izing the attachment of one Ford dump truck. The Board was further
advised that Ferguson Bros. had furnished a $11.00.00 bond to cover
this attachment and the truck had been released.

The Manager reported that at the request of Mr. R. Joseph
that he had furnished a letter covering the terms and conditions
under which water would be furnished to Unit #2 of Gateway Park.
A copy of the letter dated Sept 5, addressed to the Division of
Real Estate was read and contents approved by the Board.
The Manager reported on the building of a curb in front of the
District's warehouse by the State, due to the building of a new
Quarantine Station and stated that there had been some misunder-
standing in installing this curbing as he had been promised that
it would not be installed if the District would cooperate in
moving their main water line along the highway out of the way of
.... drainage lines installed by the Otate. Since this understanding
was only verbal, no action could be taken, but he stated that in
the matter of moving two of our poles to permit the ".,uilding of
new Highway Garages on Burckhalter Ave. he was asking the State
for written instructions on the same, to eliminate further mis-
understanding as to the payment for the work to -e done.
An analysis of the water taken from the drinking fountain in the
lot by of the Tal_oe-Forest Hospital as made by Afflecks of Sacra-
mento was submitted to the Foard. This analvsi.s showed the
water to 'c e pure and free from coliform and to r e good drinking
water. The Manager reported that further samples would be sent
in from the high School, as well as from the pump house.
The Annual Audit report made by Harry M. Strai ne & Sons of
Sacramento of the District's finances for the year ending June 30,
1952 were submitted to the Board members and discussed at length.
The matter of financing the future operations of tre District
was discussed and iy:anager Edmunds reported that 'y.r. Flagg had not
been heard from but that there had been some individuals who had
indicated an interest in some of the lots that had been surveyed
in the section east of the High School, and across from the
new checking station. He stated that unless some party showed
an interest in the District's entire holdings in the very near
future, that he believed the District should start disposing of
,p--smaller parcels so as to bring in some money to help in financing
the District. No action was taken by the Board.
A coriimunication was read under date of September 8th from Mr. Paul
H. Chamberlain relative to the lease to our new office quarters
in which he sia.ggest ed a slight change in one of the paragrarhs per-
taining to repairs. It was moved and cap-ri ed that the lease be
approved with the amend.mer:t as suz Bested by IIr. Chamberlain,
,To further c.usi ness a -rearing, Poard ad iourned.
