Upon roll call the following directors were noted present: C R Heller H T Langi lle E L Loirnd G i lbert Mulcahy, District Right of Way Agent and M: C Polk, Right of Way agent for the Division of Highways, appeared k efore tI e .Board and stated that t}ley came prepared to matte an offer for the approximate 74 acres of land i.n the South of theolath � of Sec 17, T 17 N, R 16 E, of the Districts Meadow Lake Park property. They stated that they had received authorization from their Department to purchase this property and were prepared to offer the sum of '11, 740.00-for the same. The Board advised them that they had already accepted a down payment of1000. on an offer by G. E. Lewis to purchase all the District's holdings in Sec 17, west of the new High School, for the sum of � 40, 000. and that the deed conveying this property to Mr. Lewis was veld up pending advice from the District's attorney, relative to certain restrictions and reservations which the District proposed putting in the deed. Mr. Mulcahey advised the Board th-Dt Isis Department intended to obtain this property even if it was necessary to start condemnation proceedings upon Mr. Lewis and the astrict. They left with Mr. 4ulcahey advising tale Board that the necessary condemnation papers would be drawn up upon his return to Marysville. P, anager Edmunds then proceeded to read to the F�oard communications relative to this property, under date of Jcto�_er 21 from the District to T,,,ir. Chamberlain, and under date of Octo�.er 22 from T,-ir. Champ erlain to the District, also another one from i :r. Cha.mt. erlai n under date of Octoc;er 23 with an answer from ilarag er dmunds to tY;e same under date of OctoT er 24th. Another commlinication under date of Octot-er 24 from I,"-r. Chamberlain relative to Ferguson Bros. outstanding account, in which he stated that Attorneys for Ferguson E.ro s . were seeking to set aside our judger�ient so as to file a cross complaint for the sum of �"5 , 500. against the District. The hearing was to have been heard in the District Court on Octol-er 24t1-1, rut no further information had been received as to the outcome at the time of this meeting. A communication was read under date of October 22 from 111r. Communication ordered filed. Manager Edmunds reported that iMr. Lee Nishet pad phoned him relative to the District serving a Portion of tr e Donner Lake Co's subdivisions at the east end of the la'-q.also that Mir. Rex r�eid a contractor i~^ tr.e Donner ���' e area had called at the Ilan aC., home on Oct 22 and stated that a number of the residents in this area had filed complaints with the Donner Lake Co. and the Utilities Commission relative to the water service which they were receiving. The manager advised that in his opinion the District should not take on a portion of the Jonner Lake area, c:ut that consideration should be given to the entire area only. W. Parrett, publisher of the Sierra Sun attended the meeting, having come in following the retirement of Mr. M;.ulcaheyr and *,Kr. Polk. No further business arpear ng, Board ad , otzrned .
