The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public
Utility District met in regular meeting at the office of the
District on Main St., at 2:30 p m., . L Loynd, president, presiding.
U-)on roll call- the following directors were noted present:
C R Heller H T Langi, 7_e E L Lwnd
"I" C. Polk, Right of ,,,Jay Agent of tY e Division of Highwa-rS was
present and stated that his Department was still.. going ahead with
plans to acquire the $C acres in the southwest corner of the 1 ' 4
of Seetion 17. In the absence of 0 E Lewis, who has an option on
that Section, no action, could be taken. Mr. Polk stated that .Tr.
Lewis had teen in contact with Mr. Uash , Div. Eng, of h-ls Department
at Marysville and that he was desirous )f agaii. Contacting hire
in an attempt to get the ratter amicably settled. It was reported
that 1, r. Lewis was in Auburn this dad-. Mr. Polk left with the in-
tention of again contacting lir. Lewis.
The minutes of the meeting of October 28 were read and ay -proved.

The ilanager reported that he had Bade arrangPiients with tr, e Line
Material Co. to install a sample high intensit7- l i_g?lt on thle pole
in front of the District's office so that the f,usiness peorle might
determine if such a type of lighting would be desired for the
rest of the business area. It orould he necessar-,r for t�. e business
people to stand the cost oz the purchase and installation of these
lights if it was desirable, the District to then assume all future
servicing and maintenance. Director Heller stated that the
Hospital District might also be interested in hatrirE s�ich lights
installed along the road leading into the ?�ospital. The T'ianager
reported that !,Tr. R Joseph and some of tr, e business people in the
Gateway sYopning area were also interested a.n having t'r] s type of
light installed in their area.
