A communication was read from Paul H. Chamberlain, under date of January
2, relative to the status of the Ferguson Bros. bill. Communication
filed.
H communication was read under date of Dec, 30, from T B Waddell-, o'`
the Department of Public Works, relative to a preliminary report
on the Inlashoe Project as submitted by the Bureau of Reclamation, in
a letter dated Dec 1$9 1952 enclosing a -copy of their Status report,
and asking for the District's. comments. After a brief outline of
the three plans submitted in this report, Mgr. Edmunds stated that
if there was no ob Jection, he would recommend to th r- Dera.rtment of
Publ i�c Works that the District would favorlplan 2" which he felt would
more nearly meet the future needs of the Di strict ancl this area.
Manager Edmunds reported Mr. L A Baysinger, Supt . of the Stockton Pox Co, s
Truckee mill, had called at the office during the past week and had
brought up the matter of a tie-in with the SPP Co, s Lake Tahoe line
by the installation of a new substation to he located near their plant.
He stated that representatives of the SPP Co. were pressing and suggest-
ing such a tie-in and wanted to !.-now what the District would do to bring
about such a connection. The Manager suggested to the Directors that
a very careful engineering and economic study should.e made before the
District should commit themselves to any large expenditure of money,
which would be necessary to bring about such a connection. Yx.
Baysinger had stated that he might possibly appear before the directors
at their meeting on January 27th , relative to this matter. No action
was taken.
The -Manager reported that Crandall Bros. had advised him that they were
contemplating adding an additional 250 hp to their sawmill early this
spring.
No further business arpearing, Board adjourned.

The reports on the Electric and Water System were submitted by
Auditor vVhit a and after perusal by the members were ordered
f iled .
The Manager reported that M. a Polk, Right of Way Agent of the
Division of Highways had called at the office on January 23
and had asked after the status of the sale of land to G E Lewis.
He asked to be kept advised if there was any change in the sale
of this land.
A letter was read from Paul H Chamberlain under date of January
15, pursuant to Ferguson Bros. account and stating that attached
thereto was a check to the amount of 0380.90, together with an
itemized statement of legal expenses which covered the total
amount due of $555,35, Same was ordered filed.
The Manager read a communication under date of Jan ua r7 22,
addressed to Bud 'IMLandevi lle , relative to the land west of th e
Hi &, School, together with the reply thereto from C E Mandeville
under date of January 26. Communications were ordered filed.
In the matter of the proposed sale of the land west of the High
School to G E Lewis, it was moved and carried that the Manager
should advise Mr. Lewis in writing that unless arrangements
to complete the down payment on this land was _made by February
1st, that the land would be withdrawn from sale,

The Manager reported that there had been a mistake made in the
Lilling of the Tahoe Forest Hospital due to using the wrong
multiplier which had been supplied by the G E Co. and that an
adjustment had been offered the hospital.
The Manager reported that an attachment made by the State Bd of
Equal. ofi Vh a wages of F M Torri had been satisfied and a release
obtained.
No further business appear ing, Board adjourned
