General Election on May 5th had been given to the Sierra Sun
for publication during the next 2 issues and also that notices
had been posted as required by law.
A letter was read under date of March 25th from the California
Municipal Utilities Asso. , advising the District to make appli-
cation for the reservation of a radio channel at an early date.
It was moved and carried that the Manager be authorized to make
application for the reservation of a high frequency channel for
the District.
The reports of Auditor 7-,".ite covering the Electric and `eater
Systems for the month of March were submitted to the Eoard
and after perusal of the same were ordered filed.
No further business appearing, Eoard ad ourned.

April 27, 1953
Due to Chairman E L Loynd and Manager Edmunds being called
on Grand Jury duty, the regular meeting scheduled for April
28th, was changed With the unanimous consent of the Directors
to this- date. The meeting was called to order at 3 p m and the
following directors were noted present:

Manager reported that the Sierra Truck & Motot Co. of Grass
Valley had not as yet delivered the cab :mod chassis ordered but
during the meeting a call care from this firm stating that
the truck was ready for delivery and the Manager notified them
that he would be in Grass Valley tomorrow and examine the same,
The Manager read a letter under date of April 21st from the
Neidermeyer- Martin Co. stating that they could not quote on
Douglas Fir poles and upon examining the two remaining bids
the National Pole Treating Co. of San Francisco being the
lowest, it was moved and carried that the order for a truck
load of poles be given to this firm.
The Board then discussed the various bids for tanks which had
been received and discussed the relative merits of the various
types. Final decision was laid over until next meeting when
the bid of G E Lewis could be further discussed with him.
The Manager reported that he had G E Lewis preparing the site
for the tank.
No further business appearing, Board adjourned.

The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public
Utility District met in regular meeting at the office of -the
District on Main St., at 2-: 30 p m. , E L Loynd, president,
presiding.
Upon roll call the following directors were noted present:
C R Heller HT. Langille E L Loynd
The minutes of the meeting of April 27th were read and approved,
The Board proceeded to canvass the returns of the General Election
held Tuesday, May 5th for one Director, with the following results:
Total votes cast, 176. Votes received, Charles R. Heller 144.
Richard Joseph, 31. James McIver, 1.
Charles R. Heller having received the greatest number of votes,
was declared reelected as a director of the Utility District
for a term of four years.
Acting -Clerk of the District, C. Edmunds, stated that Charles R.
Heller had filed with him the regular form of the Oath of Office
as Director of the District.
