3 PMOLVED that Truckee Public Utility District purchase from
4 Elden Tonini and Olympia E. Tonini the Truckee Water System
5 now owned by Elden Tonini anal Olympia E. Tonini, his wife, and
ro formerly owned by Matt Green and wife, and sometimes known as
7 and called the Matt Green Water System, And sometimes known
8 as and called the Tonini Water System, all as more fully,set
9 forth in the copy of the purchase agreement hereunto annexed
and
10 "a" made a part of this resolution, and the president and

11 secretary of the B� of Directors of Truckee Public Utility
12 District are her"eby authorized to execute said contract for and
13 on behalf of and as the act of said disc riet.and the Board of
14 Directors of said district, and to carry out for and on behalf
15 of the district the provisions of said contract, including the
16 filing of the joint application with the Public Utilities Com-
17 mission of the State of California for approval of said sale
18 and if approved., the execution and delivery of tho promissory
19 note and deed of trust called for by said oontract of sale, and
20 said president and secretary are hereby authorized and directed
21 to do all other acts and things reasonably required to secure
22 approval of the purchase of said system and to consummate the
23 purchase thereof.

Manager Edmunds reported on meetings which he had attended
at Donner Lake and Nevada City, relative to the sanitary
conditions in the Donner Lake area. He also reported that
he had discussed with G. K. Nye, Deputy Real Estate Commissioner
the question of the water supply around Donner Lake and that
it appeared that the water and sewerage problems in that area
would shortly be brought up for the Boards attention.
Letters were read under date of June 25th from the Santa Fe Tank
and Tower Co. advising they would start delivery and erection
of the tank in Truckee on or about July lst. Also a letter dated
June loth from the G W Null Engineering Co. relative to further
quotations on any future installations the District may desire.
The Manager reported that: further tests carried out by the State
Board of Health on the Gateway well had indicated that a s 1 ight
contamination was still evident in that well.
The Manager reported that he had received notice from Ha=7 Pi'I.
Straine & Sons that they would arrive at our office on July 1st
to tart auditing the books for the past fiscal year. He also
stated that they Controller of the State was requesting that
future reports would be necessary from our District relative to
our operations,
In respect to the situation around Donner Lake, letters were read
dated June 27th from the Manager to T L Chamberlain outlining
the situation, together with a reply dated June 29th from Mr.
Paul H. Chamberlain acknowledging the same and advising that the
questions raised would be studied and discussed at a future meeting.
A communication was read under date of June 2nd that the Manager
had written to Paul Rausch relative to the agreement of sale
of a dump body, dated August 29-, 1951. The Manager was instructed
to continue to have this matter satisfactorily settled.
A communication was read under date of June 29th from T L Chamberlain
advising that Judge Snell had refused piermis sion to the State
to make any tests on the Districts lands.
Chairman Loynd brought up the matter of a request from the Lake
Tahoe Chamber of Commerce to place advertising signs on the
Districts property along Highway 40. It was the unanimous opinion
of the Board that no signs should be permitted.
The Managger reported that F. Siegfried, surveyor from Nevada City
had promised to be here on July the 6th to survey the location
for a tank north of the Truckee Resort area. He a lso I rought up the
ratter of subdividing the Districts land along the Brockway road
and it was unanimously agreed that such a subdivision would be
highly desirable and that the Djanager would endeavor to have Mr.
Siegfried lay out the same.
The Manager reported that he had a party who was interested
in purchasing the 100 ft. lot that the District owned east of
the Rotary Oil Co. t s property and that this party desired to
know price ' of the same. It was moved and carried that th i s
property be offered for sale at a price of 45000.00.
Chairman Loynd reported that E. Tonini, owner of the Truckee
Water System was agreeable to s elling this system to the District
for the sum of "i'p"15 , 000.00. It was moved and carried that the
District take the necessary steps to purchase the Truckee Water
System for the sum of �15,000-00- $5COO-00 to paid down, the
balance to paid off at a sum not less than .�200.00 per month
with interest on the unpaid balance at 5`o., and that the
Manager be instructed to refer the niattier to T L Chamberlain
so that the necessary legal steps could be taken,
The attached Resolution #5301 was read and unanimously adopted
by the Board.
No further business appearing, Board adjourned. ,
