The Manager reported that he had a party who was interested
in purchasing the 100 ft . lot that the District owned east of
the Rotary Oil Co. t s property and that this party desired to
know price of the same. It was moved and carried that th i s
property be offered for sale at a price of 5000.00 .
Chairman Loynd reported that E. Tonini, owner of. the Truckee
Water System was agreeable to s elling this system to the District
for the sum of V15,000.00. It was moved and carried that the
District take the necessary steps to purchase the Truckee 'eater
System for the sum of 415 , 000.00- $5GO0.00 to paid down, the
balance to paid off at a sum not less than �200.00 per month
with interest on the unpaid balance at 5`:, and that the
Manager be instructed to refer the matter to T L Chamberlain
so that the necessary legal steps could be taken,
The attached Resolution #5301 was read and unanimously adopted
by the Board.
No further business appearing, Board adjourned,

The members of the. Board of Directors of the Truckee Public
Utility Mstrict met in regular meeting at the office of the
District on Main St . , at 2930 30 p m. , E L Loynd, pre s id ent ,
presiding.
Upon roll call the following directors were noted present:

The matter of a raise in the salary of Foreman T Patterson
was brought up and after some discussion on the rates paid
by the SPPCo. in this area, it was moved and carried that
the salary of foreman Patterson be raised to V425.UU. The
Directors instructed the manager to caution foreman Patterson
against spending too much time in the Coffee Shops during
working hours .
The Manager reported that G E Lewis had paid the interest
due on his outstanding note for the, Meadow Lake. land.
The Manager also reported that the firm of Harry - Straine &
Sons had started auditing the books of the District as of
July 1st and would return on July 20th to complete the
audit,
vanLetters were read dated July 3rd from the District to T L
' hamberlain and under daty of July 13th from T L Chamberlain
to the District relatige to certain matters affecting the
jrgppfer of the Truckee water System.��'d�
The 'Manager reported he had received a letter from Mr. Paul
H Chamberlain under date of July 6th relative to the procedure
necessary if the District was to put .a tax on this year.
A communication was read under date of July 14th from Jack
Waggoner, chairman of the Donner Lake Improvement Association
requesting the District to investigate the feasibility of
handling the . garbage collection in the Donner Lake area.
The matter was referred to. the Manager to take up with the
Truckee Sanitary District and garbage -collector Paul Rausch.
The Manager reported that Mt. T. Chamberlain in a telephone
conversation had stated that Lise `Nesbit. of the Armstrong
Realty Co. had called him relative to forming a private water
company at Donner Lake. He stated that he had advised fir.
Chamberlain that the Utility District was ready and willing
to serve this area, if and when the property owners and voters
petitioned the District. The Manager gave the Directors an
outline of the meetings and discussions which had been held
around Donner Lake, relative to general utility conditions.
The Manager was instructed to ask Mr. Chamberlain to draw up
the necessary documents changing the election -hours of the
District from their present l a m to 7 p m to 1 p m to 6 p m.
Also to take up the matter with him of the advisability of
increasing the District Directors from the present 3 to 5
Directors.
The Manager reported that up to date the Truckee Resort had not
paid the bill owing the Osburn Garage for repairs to the
District's Willy truck.

The Manager brought to the attention of the Board the fact
that the Tahoe•Truckee School District was not }haying their
within the discount period which they had agreed to, (20th of
month)and the Board agreed that if the bills in the futurewere not paid by the 20th no discount should be allowed.
