HomeMy WebLinkAbout1954-04-13 Min - Board270 Truckee, California April 13, 1954 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in regular meeting at the office of the District on Main St., at 2:30 p m., Z L Loynd, President, presiding. Upon roll call the following directors were noted present: C R Heller E L Loynd H T Langille (absent=out of town) The minutes of the meeting of March 30th were read and approved. Comsaunications were read under date of April 3 from the Manager to the Division of Water Resources relative to the Washoe Project. Also letter of April 6 from A. D. Edmonston, State Engineer, in answer to the same. Also letter of April 9th from Assemblyman Francis C. Lindsay regarding the same. The Manager reported that he had not yet met with Mr. Mark Edson regarding water filing in this area but would do so at an early date. Bud Mandeville of Kings Beach entered the meeting at this point and discussed the purchase of the District; s land in Meadow Lake area east of the High School. He submitted a tentative offer of 45,000.00 for that portion east and south of the High School, south of Highway 40 and west of Highway 89 and including the present ball park area. The Board verbally agreed to hold the offer under consideration for a period of 30 days. Mr. Mandeville then left the meeting after agreeing that a $15, 000.00 down payment could be made, if the offer was accepted. The Manager reported that a letter had been received from the California Department of Employment, under date of April 9th informing the District that the application of the District to be covered by OASI had been accepted by the Director of Finance. A communication was read from Dorgan E. Stewart, Department of Public Health Sanitary Engineer, covering sanitary survey report made by the Department under date of March 9th, 1954, and outlining certain reco:� endations for :L-nprovement of the District ' s water syst. s�.
