regular meeting at the office of the District on Hain St., at 2:30 p iM., E L Loynd,
president, presiding.
Upon roll call the following directors were noted present:

The minutes of the meeting of march 29th were read and approved.
The following bills were read and upon motion .made and carried were ordered paid.

Notice of the sale of the Ice Rink property on the south side of the river to be made
on April 25th was brought before the Board and it was moved and carried that the
District should bid up to and including $350.00 for the same.
Communications were read under date of April 4th from the Inter -County Title Co.
relative to the sale by G E Lewis to the Tahoe -Truckee unified School District and
the request for a partial reconveyance of this property by the District. Also a
letter under date of April 8th to Paul H. Chamberlain requesting him. to contact
the Placer County Title Co. with reference to the same.
The Manager brought up the matter of the new proposed building and stated that he
proposed to. appear before the Board of Supervisors at their meeting on April 25th.
Also a letter under date of April 5th from Jas . L. Robertson quoting a price on his
property at Bridge and Church Sts.
The Manager reported that he had received only 1 quotation on the bids for the Dodge
Power wagon, which was from the Placerville Automobile Co. and received permission
to negotiate for the private purchase of the same.
The '-tanager reported that W J Fair who had contracted for some Christmas trees off
the District's property had not paid for the same: He also stated that Fair had made
a deposit of ;�250. for a Meadow Lake parcel of land on which he had not carried out the
tex- s of the contract. The Mranager suggested that the contract be cancelled and
$200. of the deposit be held against the sale of the Christmas trees. It was moved and
carried that the TWO. be so applied.
The Manager , reported that in accordance with the regular procedure followed by the
District tha1, a complete electric meter testing- was necessary this year and. that he
had contacted Paul Oldham of Oakland to undertake this work.
In the matter of a reduction of electric rates which the Board had authorized a
study to be made of in !,,Tw ' of 1954, the Ianager presented a proposed reduction covering
domestic and coy ercial lightin amounting to appro; mately 6%.~ After a study of the
same it was moved and carried that the proposed new rates be placed in effect as of
lay 1, 1955.
No further business appearing, Board adjourned.
