The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District enet
in regular meeting at the office of the District on ai s_St., at 2:30 p ra., E L
Loynd, president, presiding.
Upon roll call the following directors were rioted present
Chas. R. Heller E L Loynd. H T Langille (absent- out of town)
The rainutes of the meeting of .April 12th were read and approved.
The following bills were read and upon .motion made and carried were ordered paid:

The IianarYer -reported that he had attended the ta-x sale of the Ice Palace Property
on %onday, .April 25th at I7eva.da City and that the District was a successful bidder
at the total price of r, 262.68, The District having put up the advertising cost of
20, the balance due was 242.68-- a check of which has been drawn for the same.
The tax deed was in the hands of the County Recorder for recording.
Communications were read under date of April 21st from Paul Chamberlain to the
Inter-CountUf Title Co, at Nevada City and under the sa to date from Paul.. Chamberlain
to the District, relative to the sale of the Lewis property to the Tahoe -Truckee
School District. Coffin., unications were ordered filed,
+ The 'E na.ger reported that Paul Oldham of Valle o had advised him that he would be
unable to undertake the testierg of the District meters at this tine. Efforts were
being made to get H. A. L. Jones of Los Angeles who formerly tested our meters,
to take on the -.job. No world had as yet been received from ,'r. Jones.
The Manager reported that all arram-ements had been made for the District election
to be held on 1_ay 3, ('�aesday ) at the Justice Court.
The anager reported that he, had negotiated the purchase of i- ' Dodge ::Power Wagon
from the Placerville Automobile Co. who had aad.e the only bid to the District,
He stated that he had contacted the Diarlond 1,1otor Co. in Reyio, the George
Bros. Auto Co. of Grass Valley and t- e Briggs 111-1otors of Sutter, Calif., but
that the offer of the Placerville Auto Co. was the lowest and riost advantageous
to the District, and that the purchase of the same was for the price r,-2387.97.
Delivery of the sa. e was to be made ieithin the next tao weeks.
The 1.11anager reported that he had asked for quotations for some snow fencing
from seven different firms and had received replies from four, the lowest of
�nrhich was from l-ifontgo_.ery lard of Oaklm-id, Calif. The Truckee -Tahoe Lumber
Co. was the only local firm :Liaking a quotation, and their f encing was in
50 ft. rolls only when the quotation called for 100 ft rolls. Tile Board
voted to leave it to the discretion of the +rianager where purchase of the s&�e
should be made.
L;. L. Loynd, Chaiimnan, agreed to open and preside at the next meeting of the
Board on May loth, at which the new directors would take office and re-
organize the Board.
The 1bILanager reported that he had received cormiunicat ions from, a number of
Architects and Engineers with reference to the proposed new building. He
stated that he was going to appear before the Board of Supervisors at their
meeting on ItIay 2nd to discuss the matter of a joint building.
No further, business appearing, Board adjourned.
