The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District
met in regular meeti A ' at the office of the District on Main St., at 2:30 p mn.,

Upon roll call the following directors were noted present:

Conmmnications were read under date. of July llth from Wm. A. Carver, Atty at law
of Truckee, relative to work being done by the District in developing certain
springs on District property, which Mr. Lloyd-P. Van Sickle was c ' ' interferred
with the flow of, his spring onhi.s l md. Also under date of July 14th from the
District to Mr. Carver, explaining the circumstances of the work being done by the
District.
The following Resolution was introduced by the Manager and on motion made was
unanimously carried:
WERE the Directors of the District are meeting in regular meeting
each month and devoting during the meetings, approximately 6
hours of their time each month in the conduct of the District r s
aff airs, and
WHERZAS the present Directors salary of $5.00 per month is inconsistent
with the work and responsibility required in the performance of
their duties and
WHEREAS the peoples interests would be benefited by paying only for such
attendance and time as each director devoted to his duties -at
regular meetings
NOW THEPJWORE BE IT RFM LVED; that pending the passage of an ordinance
setting forth the salaries of a32 officers and employees of the
District, that on and after September 1p 1955 a payment of $5.00
per each regular meeting attended shall be made to each Director
ptonthly and
FURTH MORE; that pending the effective date of this action - any and all
citizens of the District are invited to voice any disapproval
of such payments as proposed herein.
Due. to the inconvenience of the present meeting days and hours to a
majority of the Directors, it was moved and carried that future meetings
of the Board will be held on the second and last Thursday of each month
at 9:00 a m at the office of the District.
The Manager stated that Daniel Bros. who are supplying logs to the Hilltop sawmill
had requested permission to use a portion of the Districts land adjacent to the mom,
consisting of approximately 4 acres and had agreed to a monthly rental of $25. per mo.
It was moved and carried that such rental would be agreeable to the District,

termination of the lease.
No further business appearing, Board adjourned.
