An Analysis of the water from Meadow Lake spring , the South Sides
Springs, # 2 and South Side Springs #1 Ext, made by the State Board
of Health was read to the Board and Manager Edmunds stated that due
to the apparent contaminatI n shown in the reports that he would
have further analysis made before springs were put into use,
Communication was read from E C B3 anc, Supt of Building for the
Pacific -Tel & Tel Co., under date of Sept 22, relative to the
electric requirements for a new Telephone Bldg. to be completed
in November 1955. Communication was referred to manager.
The Manager reported that he expected to have some of the crew
working on clearing up the ice poled South of the Truckee River.
The Board approved this work.
A communication was read from J E wood, Pros, of the Virginia and
Truckee Transit Co. under date of August 25, relative to Begs Service
between Truckee and Donner Summit and asking for a meeting to discuss
the same. The Manager was authorized to meet with Mr. wood and gather
what data he could relative to the cyst of operation of such service,,
The Manager was instructed to ascertain if it would be agreeable to
the Truckee Sanitary District for the Utility District to take over
the operation of the garbage syste p and under what terms and conditions.
The Board instructed the manager to write a letter to the O3.j.,.kvIc Commission
and offer the land at the Truckee Wye for the 1960 skating events.
No further business appearingp Board adjourned.

A commmdcation was read under date of Sept 30 from
the District to the
California Olympic Commission, relative to bEfering
the land at the Trftc kee
Wye for the- Olympic skating events.
A commmication was read under date of tact 7th from the Pacific Tel & Tel Co,
relative to a change in their electric load in their proposed new building,
The Manager reported that he bad requested a geological survey to be made
by the Division of rater Resources and a letter was read under date of
Oct llth from State Engineer Edmonston offering to make such a survey if
the request came through the Lahontan Regional Control Board.
The Manager reported that he had not yet heard from Mr. Wood of the Virginia
and Truckee Transit�Co, relative to a meeting to discuss bass service between
Truckee and Donner Summit.
Director Neugebauer brought up the question of the District auquiring the
Sierra Pacific line to Donner Lake, and after some discussion the manager
was instructed to have an assessed valuation made of the line and services.
No further business appearing, Board adjourned.
