A communication was read from J E Wood, President of the Virginia -Truckee
Transit Co. under date of Nov 7 quoting prices for contract busses proposed
to be operated by the District between Truckee and Donner Summit. It was
noted by the manager that such service between the dates of Dec 17 and Feb 28
on a weekend basis would cost around $1500. After some discussion director
Welsh stated that he, as president of the Truckee Chamber of Commerce would
call a meeting in the near future of the directors of that body to consider
the underwriting of the cost of operation.
