The members of the Board of Directors of the 'Truckee Public Utility District met in
r0gular meeting at the office of the District on 11'ain St . , at 2:30 p m, C R Heller, .

A communication was read under date of Janua7 27th from the Hartford Accident and
Indemnity Co. relative to the payment in full of the outstanding bill of the Gill
Construction Co. in the amount of $27, 50. It was moved and carried that the Manager
be authorized to execute a release and assignment enclosed therewith.
A communication under date of February 2 from Paul H. Chamberlain relative to
an architects agreement with Mitchel Van Bourg was reviewed and the Manager was
authorized to contact Mr. van Bourg and further discuss the agreement with him.
A communication was _read under date of Jan 30th from. Paul H. Chamberlain relative
to the proposed rules and regulations and ordinance covering water service and
rates. The matter was laid over until further word from Mr. Chamberlain.
The Manager brought up the question of increasing the number of Board members from
three to five with a view to having representation on the Board from the Donner Lake
and other outlying; areas of the District. After some discussion it was moved and
carried that the Manager take the matter up with attorney Chamberlain.
The Manager reported that the Telephone engineer had consulted irlth him in the past
week in reference to removing the poles along the main street. After considerable
discussion relative to the placing of street lights and standards in the event
the telephone poles were removed and the manner of financing the installation
of such lights it was decided to refer the matter to attorney Chamberlain, in an i
endeavor to work out a legal method of financing this thing.
The tanager reported that representatives of the Union Uil Co. had requested con-
sideration by the District of allovdng therm to take over and surface the right of way
leading to the property in the rear of their service station. This property is now
being leased to C H Collier and is being operated under the nwiie of The Donner Dog
House. The.,mattter was laid over for further consideration.
