Barrett, publisher of the Sierra Sun entered the meeting. The Manager reported that he had held a mww.ing with Mr. T L and Paul Chamberlain in Auburn, on Larch 2 and discussed with him the drawing up of an ordinance to increase the number of directors to five, which he agreed to do and forward at his early convenience and had also discussed the financing of new street lights along the Main St. He had discouraged the idea of installing such lights by an Assess- ment District, stating that such a small district would make the expense extremely high and urged that attempts be made to finance the lights by volunteer contribu- tions if possible. The Manager was instructed to submit cost figures based upon property ownership of front foot age, as well as by tenants . The Manager stated that the Ordinance covering water rates and regulations had been printed in the Sierra Sun as required by law and that he had had 200 copies printed for use in distribution. Some discussion took place relative to the advantage of having the Utility District go into the garbage collection, but no definite action was taken at this time. Thd'..repoit&.-.10 Auditor White covering the Electric and Water system for the month of January were submitted to the Board members for perusal and were ordered f i led.
