The Directors brought up the matter of the use being made by the old ice pond for skating and the Manager was requested to install additional flood lights, Director Heller stated that Paul Kaspian had discussed vdth him his charges for water a --ad had stated that he was not using the extra house on his lot and felt that he should not be charged for same. Director stated that he would inform Mt. Kaspian. to notify the office to discontinile his water charges during the period the house was vacant. Themonthly report of the Electric and "�ater systems for the month of November as submitted by auditor VJhi.te and after perusal were ordered filed. No further bus_Lness appearing, Board adjourned. He also advised that the District had net received a permit from the State Board of Health and left some necessary for.r.qs to apply for same, one of which was a resolution which was presented to the Board for,_ ­adoption as Resolution #5701, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of the minutes. The Resolution was unanimously adopted. A =m. unication was read under date or Dec 31 from the State Water Rights Board relative to the protest f iled by the District against Application 15672, and setting forth that the original protest and the amended pro- test are insufficient, and cannot be accepted, and granting the District 15 days to file another. Also a copy of a co_:munication from the Bureau of Reclamation at Salt Lake City, to the State i-rater Rights Board, in answer to the protest of the District and setting forth their reasons for denying the protest. The Manager reported that he had fonrarded these letters to fir. Chamberlain for further action, if any. A com=nicat on was read under date of Dec 27, from V E Anderson, Supt. Southern Pacific Co. relative to proposed overhead power line crossing agreement serving the Burney Lumber Co. in which he advises that two copies of the proposed agreement were enclosed.in order to facilitate the closing of these agreements the Manager reported that he had sub- mitted sw.e to Chairrian Heller for his signature and had attached his own and returned them to the Southern Pacific Co. It was Moved and carried that the signing of this agreement by the president and acting - secretary be hereby authorized and concurred in. The Ivianager reported that on a recent visit by Mrs. Eve Popovich, she had requested that the deed and agreement of sale of the property in the rear of the California Inspection Station be placed in escrow with the Inter -County Title Co. at Nevada City, Calif. Chairman Heller reported that the Board had contacted Mr. Karl Kielhofer of Truckee and had offered him a position with the District at 0'500. per month to start on February 1, 1957. He stated that 1,1r. Kielhofer had said that he would make an inspection of the District and that in the course of 3 or 4 months he should be able to acquaint himself with the system. Feller Hal welch (absent) Mr. John Blersch of -engineering Management, Inc. appeared before the Board relative to Right of r'Jay for Southern Pacific pipe line. He explained that his letter of Dee 10, 1966 had been corrected to show the $500. per acre price as requested by the District, and inasmuch as a right of way under the Southern Pacific Co. t s subway on 89 Highway had been settled to the satisfaction of the District, the following resolution was read and adopted* RtSJLUTION No . 57-02 `olliz S, a right of way for an oil pipe line has been requested by the Southern Pacific Pipe Lines, Inc., across certain property owned by the District lying south of the Tahoe -Truckee High School, and, �4JH;, S, the terns and conditions outlined in the right of way agreement meets with the approval of the Board, and, VHERIExAS, in the judge Ment of the Board the granting of such right of way would not interfere with any contemplated uses of the land involved, by the District, now, therefore be it R 30LTED, thp. t the Chairman and a :aeiuber of the Board is hereby authorized to execute the said right of way agreement between the District and the Southern Pacific Pipe Lines, Inc. It was agreed that the price of 125.00, offered for this right of way was fair and agreeable to the District, and it was -roved and carried that the check for this amount offered by 11r. Blersch: be accepted, in pay -rent thereof.
