The _Jiembers of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District
Piet in regular i:ieeting at the office of the D-istrict on Main St.., at 9 :30 a m.
Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present:

and upon notion made and carried were a?proved as corrected by the insertion of
the word' electric t in the Resolution pertaining to the installation of the street

The ��sana -er e_xplained that the other well drilled in the vicinit7T of tlhe Donner
Cro ss had proved to be a_ dry well after ro-ng doer. 200 feet, -iostl r in granite rock,
The balance of the bill was due to pump testing the well near Donner Creek and
Highway 89 and he explained that sa: ples taken by t l.e 'State Board of 1-Iealtll had
proved this well to be safe, and that it had a capacity of 253 ;allons per !rinute.,
which was more than had been anticipated would be pumped by the installation of a
6 inch pLu-izp .

The Manager brought up the ?,'Latter of guara,riteeing the deposits of tie District
by the Bank and suggoested that the Natter be referred to 1.1r. Harry Strains, who
would start auditing the boo'Xis toriorrow.
The laanaFzer reported that he had 'Gad a l-btter from vir. John Corbin relative to
extending the line frog, the 'E gh Scl.,00l over to V e new il�lementarJT School and
he stated that he was advising i.%r. Corbin that the District could not be respon-
sible for the Ares sure if such extension was made.
C L Smith entered the eeti ng at t=pis tl ;1v, and at t tie request of the Chairman
explained the results of a -_-ieeting that had been held between Director Ling,
Supt C 11 Doerr and hi,iself and outlined 2 pin.ns which they approved, and after
some considerable discussion the Board voted to adopt Plan B as outlined
and to sub-11,it the sw-Le for consideration to the Districts s employees. A motion
was made and carried that the District pay one-half of the cost of the Lif e lns. and
Hospitalization plan premiir.

Manager Lee Apple of the Bares of A:�ierica appeared before the Board at t-his time
and e=lained the operation of Ti:-ne Deposits. After so7tie discussion it was
moved by Director Neugebauer and seconded by Director Horma.n that the sure of
00,000. be transferred for a period of six months on a Ti_ie Plan Deposit by the
fo llowing vot e :

The Manager read certain quotations that had been received for installation
of a 6" pump at the new well at Donner Cr e6k, and ��ighway �9 and explained that
while Fairbar s, Morse Co. quotat; on t�ras sli ghtly higher than one or two other
quotations, that it was his opinion that it was the 'nest bid in view of past
services rendered on other pu_n.ps fro: this Company. It was moved and carried
that the PITaxiager be authorized to purchase the pimp fron the Fa_rbanks, toree
Co.
The 1��ana er brought up the matter of having the electric -,--zeters of the District
tested, stating that he had found it impossible during the past 2 Nears to
get anyone to do the testing. He stated that there was need for ti:.e meters to
be tested at t i s time and that h e i-. ould use every effort to find so--.ieone to
start the testing as soon as poss�_ble.
