Truckee, California August a, 1958 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in regular meeting at the office of the District on Main 'St., at 9:30 a m. Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present: . Dan Horraan- B R'King, Jr- George Kaspian- Jack Neugebauer- iE IRIelch Before going into regular r:ieeting the Board met in executive session with Supt . C M Doerr. The Board. then closed the executive session and opened in regular meeting with all Directors in attendance. Also present: Q C 11 Doerr Mrs. 'B. Kielhofer- R. Siebold- Mr. Putman representing Bob Baldock of Fresno, Mrs. B. Kielhofer introduced Hr. Putman, Golf Course Architect, who explained he had gone over the proposed golf course ground and em,%tl.ted that a good golf course couid be constructed thereon at a price not to exceed 35,000. After sonic discussion a motion was made and carried authorizing Mr. Putman to go ahead and draw up plans for a golf course at a fee of $400, Director King was called from the meeting at this time. A motion was ,~wade and carried that the District go into d6veloping Recreational facilities and that Attorney Chamberlain be requested to draw up the necessary ordinanc e . Mrs. Rielhofer agreed to make arrangements .for an aerial photograph of the land. Mt. Putman and Mrs. ! B, Kielhofer thanked the Board and left the meeting. Mr. Bob Siebold then informed the Directors that Vice --President Lowe of the Sierra. Pacific Power Co. expected to visit Truckee this P M and wou-M.like to meet with the Board. The Board members instructed Mr. Siebold thatthey would be pleased to have Mr. Lowe meet with the Board at their next meeting on August 28th at 10:30 a m. Mr. Siebold thanked the Board and left the meeting. A motion was made and carried that the minutes - of the sleeting of July 31st be approved as transcribed. A motion was made and carried that the bills .as submitted to the Board as of this date be paid. } u;e Manager reported that in accordance with instructions of the Board at th Iftt meeting, an order had been placed for a 20,000 gallon Redwood tank for the Schaffer Springs at a cost of $2886. erected. The Tv ager reported that 11r. Robert Kennedy of the Clyde C. Kennedy Finn of Engineers had telephoned regarding his proposal to engineer and report on the Water System. After some discussion it was moved and carried that the question of hiring an engineer be laid over until after the first of the year. The Manager read a letter under date of August 'nth to Mr. F A Tracey, President of the Sierra Pacific Power Co . , asking for a reduction in the District t s rate. A right of way grant was then submitted from the Sierra Pacific Power Co. to locate 5 poles across the District" s property in Section 14. After some discussion it was moved and carried that a rider be requested in the grant providing that the Sierra Pacific Power Co, would not endeavor to serve any customers on land owned by the District in Section 14. The Manager reported that Vice --President Lowe of the Sierra Pacific Power Co. had advised him that some change in the District t s billing may be necessary because his Company had not acquired a permit from the California Utilities Co,�ission to serve the District at the Burney number Co. plant.
