HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-09-11 Min - BoardSeptember 4, 1958 Chairman Welch read a letter from the Inter County Title Company requesting the release of a reservation 200 X 200 to the General Petroleum Corporation. Paul Chamberlain will check and advise at a later -date. Chamberlain advised the board he had talked to Mr. Lower of the Sierra Pacific -Power Company relative to the Donner Lake Line. Mr. Lowe -ad. vised him the board had turned down the request and the Donner Lake Line was not for sale. Chamberlain said he would write Mr. Lowe and request a written statement on the above. Paul Chamberlain advised the board a Ordinance was not needed for recreational activities under $100,000.00. - No further business the meeting was ajourned. Acting erk of Board n President � Truckee, California September 11, 1958 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in regular meeting at the office of the District on Main Street, at 9:30 AM. Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present: Dan Horman-H. M. Welch -George Kaspian-Jack Neugebauer. Also present: C. M. Doerr. The minutes of the regular meeting of August 28th and the a journed meeting of September 4th were presented to each Director and upon motion made and carried were approved as presented. A list of the following bills were presented to each Director. It was moved by Director Neugebauer and seconded by Director Kaspian the bills be paid. It was so approved. A general discussion was held on the use of private cars for District business. It was the feeling of the board the District has sufficent transportation and the use of private cars be eliminated. Superintendent Doerr advised the board can the progress of the new street lights. A new luminaire with fan cooling could be available for deliv-. ery the loth of October. It was the feeling of the board this new luminaire was not neceasary for this climate and we should get delivery as soon as possible. Chairman Welch brought up f -ir discussion the policy of the District rel- ative to Discounts given fir payment made by the 10th of the current month. It was the boards feeling the present ruling be inf orc ed , D i s count of 10 per cent allowed on electric service if paid by loth of month and no exceptions allowed. A check rec�6ived from Z markets was brought f irward in which they had taken discount for June and July, with the explanation they had overlooked taking same at the time of paying their_ bill. It was the ruling of the board they be written a letter advising them the discount could not be allowed and bill them for same. It was moved by Director Neugebauer and seconded by Director Kaspian the Petty Cash be raised from $50-00 to $100.00 and Petty cash reim.. bursements be made twice a month. So carried. A communication was read under the date of September to from Sierra Pacific Power Company advising the District the Board of Directors of the Sierra Pacific Power Co. had passed a resolution of rejection for the Donner Lake Line and authorizing the investigation of the possi.. bility of purchasing of all electric Utility property of the Truckee Public Utility Distrct. Communication was read under -the date of September 10 from Division of Highways relative to the billing of the relocation of Power facilities in connection with Highway construction project between 1.3 miles west of Truckee Wye and Boca. This was to be check for completion and a bill sent for same.
