Chamberlain relative to appointment, resignation, etc. of certain District officers other than Directors. Communication was read under date of September 10 from Paul H. Chamberlain relative to the 200 X 200 reservation which General Petroleum desires a release. It was the boards feeling a survey be made of this section and marked off as to definite boundaries and a deed be secured for this area. It was decided to wait# for the return of Mr. Edmunds bef ire d iing anything further, Application f-ir General Manager was received September 9 from Jesse E. Colt, Donner Summit Lodge, Soda Springs, California. It was read by all the Directors and ordered filed. Communication was received from Paul H. Chamberlain relative t i one acre of -land sold to George Kenyon. Enclosed was a c opie of the restrictions to be put upon the piece of land. The : restrictions was to be read by Mr. Kenyon and upon approval permission was given to start cleaning up area. Be R. King, Jr. arrived at the meeting. Mrs. Betty Kielhofer and Bob Baldock entered the meeting. Mr. Baldock presented to the Board a sketch of the proposed Golf Course and cost estimate for building -same. General discussion was held as to the financing of such a course. No further business the meeting was a* ourned. �-- Actin Clerk o Board 42 „ Truckee, Calif ornia September 25, 1958 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in regular meeting at the office of the District on Main Street, at 9* 30 AM. Upon role call the following Directors were noted present: George Kaspian - Jack Neugebauer - Hal Welch. Also present: Daven Morey, Cecil Edmunds and Chester Doerr. The minutes of the regular meeting of September 11, 1958 were presented to each Director and upon motion made and carried were approved as presented. Director Be R. King, Jr. arrived at the meeting. A list of the follwoing bills were presented to each Director. - It was moved by Director Kaspian and seconded bar Director Neugebauer the bills be paid. The secretary was to advise them the lines were still in existance and the property of the Truckee Public Utility District. Communication was read under the date of August 28th from Chamberlain & Chamberlain relative to Civil Service requirements and Retirement under their plan. The letter was ordered filed for future reference. Communication was read under the date of September Ilth from Sierra Pacific Power Company refusing our request for a rate reduction. Mr. Edmunds was advised to investigate further. Director Dan Horman entered the meeting. A report was read from the Department of Public Health, Gilbert W. Fraga, giving a report on our springs. A letter was to be written asking where samples had been obtained f -)r this report. Superintendent Doerr advised the board he had received only one bid f nr the scrap. They advised him to obtain more bids bef -ire selling* A motion was made by Director Neugebauer and sec ended by Director Kaspian Daven Morey be appointed secretary of the b ,ard. A motion was made by Director Neugebauer and sec tended by Director Kaspian Patsy Tonini be Made permanent Clerk of the District. A motion was made by Director Neugebauer and seconded by Director Kaspian Evangeline Hallett be made permanent Treasuer of the District. General discussion was held on purchasing a new addressograph machine. Daven Morey was advised to take care of same. Communication was read under the date of September 18th from George k. 'IN a ORDINANCE NO.580 9 of 3 ° TRUCKEE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT v. APPOINTING OFFICERS OTHER THAN DIRECTORS AREAS Section 16111 and following of the Public Utilities Code provides among other things for the appointment of officers other than Directors; and WHEREAS the Board desires to appoint said officers by reason of recent resignations; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF TRUCKEE PUBLIC UTM ITY DISTRICT, as follows 1. That, Patsy Tonini, be and she is hereby appointed Clerk and Bookkeeper of Truckee Public Utility District, and of the Board of Directors thereof, said Clerk and Bookkeeper to receive a salary for such work as Clerk and Bookkeeper in the amount of $ 300.00 per Month , payable Semimonthly . 2. That Evangeline Hallett be and she is hereby appointed Treasurer of the Truckee Public Utility District and for such services she shall receive the sum of $ 350.00 per Month payable Semimonthly . 3. That Daven Morey be and he is hereby appointed Secretary of the Board of Directors of Truckee Public Utility District and for such services he shall receive the sum of $ 500.00 per Month. . 4. That the officers hereinabove named and hereby appointed shall perform such duties as are provided by the Public Utilities Code of the State of California applicable to Utility Districts in unincorporated territory and such further duties as may be imposed upon them from time to time by the Board of Directors thereof, and said officers hereby appointed shall hold office at -1- l 1 i a Directors of said District. That the Treasurer of said District, hereiWnabove named, shall have charge of the funds of sail District, the said funds to be withdrawn only upon order of the Treasurer and upon the signature of the Treasurer and at least one members of the Board of Directors thereof. Copies of this ordinance shall be posted in three public places within said District and published in the Sierra Bun at least once, said posting and publishing to be completed not later than 21 days from the date hereof, and the Clerk cf said District is hereby authorized and directed to effect said postings and publishing. The foregoing ordinance was duly passed and adopted by the Board of Directors of Truckee Public Utility District this 25th day of September , by the following vote: AYES: Dan Horman, H.M. 'Welch, B. Erskine, Professional Engineers, be obtained to proceed study upon the notification of Utility District, Superintendent Doerr advised the board the City of Ukiah was selling used Transformers at a cut price. The board advised him to purchase what he needed. The Board granted the office Manager and Superintendent the power to purchase up to $1000.00 without consulting the Board. Discussion was held on the 200 x 200 Reservation on the Jerry Lewis property. The board advised another suitable site be picked. Mrs. Betty Kielhofer entered the meeting and the Golf Course and Recreational area was reviewed again.
