General discussion was held on the proposed play area and Golf course
A letter -was ordered written to Paul H. Chamberlain requesting In-
formation on tax to be levied.
Manager Morey advised the Board there was going to be a meeting held
October 15th at 2 PM in Nevada City to discuss County Building Site.
-Being no further business the meeting was a journed.

The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
-District met in an regular meeting at the office of the District on
Main Street, at 9:30 AM.
Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present:
H. M. Welch _ George Kaspian _ Dan Horman
Also present: - Daven Morey _ Cecil Edmunds - Co, Z. Smith- Betty
Kielhofer.
The minutes of the a journed meeting of October 13, 1958 were pre.
seated to each Director and upon motion made and carried were approved
as presented.
It was moved by Director Kaspian and seconded by Director Horman the
bills be paid.

Manager Morey reported an auditors report had been made for September
showing the expense and executive salaries up. It was suggested a letter
be written to the State asking for money for services 75% completed,
Correspondence was read under the date of October 22, 1958 from City of
Sacramento, Department of recreation and Parks. The letter was relative
to the cost of construction and maintenance of a nine hole golf course.
Progress was reported on recreation area and it was the boards decision
to shelf the golf course until financing was settled.
Co Z. Smith entered meeting.
Correspondence was read under date of October 16, 1958, from Chamberlain
and Chamberlain relative to 250 tax. He advised the board the budget
must be established and then the tax rate is levied and submitted to
the County Auditor on or before the 1st Monday of September of each
year. In separate letter of same date Paul Chamberlain notified Manager
Morey Mr. Giffords attorney, Mr. Grossman, had been notified to pay
judgment or execution would be levied.
Manager Morey advised the Board Gilbert S. Bailey and Robert W. Hallis
of the California Public Utilities Commission would report at our meeting
of November 13th on the condition of the District's Lines.
Correspondence under the date of October 23, 1958 from C. Z. Smith
covering office Insurance was read. C. Z. Smith went over our Insurance
coverage with the board. It was decided a survey be made of our In-
surance in the near future.
Manager Morey notified the Board the offer we had made to the Nevada
County Building Committee would expire November 19 1958. It was moved
by the Board the time be extended until January 1, 1959, with a cash
price of 25, 000.00. The District would '-require 2500 square ft. floor
space with washroom facilities. It was the Boards feeling a time limit
of 3 -years be put on the building of the building.
B. R. King, Jr. entered the meeting.
Manager Morey advised the Board Shane Brothers had requested a piece
of land. Jack Rice also requested some additional acreage behind
Trailer Park. Nothing was decided on either one.
Bids for remodeling office were submitted to the Board. Rex Reid
$1616.50 and Carl Painter $1844.00. It was moved by Director King
and seconded by Director Horman Rex Reids bid of 1616.50 be accepted.
It was so carried.
It was brought to the Boards attention G. E. Lewis had made arrange -
dents for digging a well . in Deerfield Villiage.
General discussion was held on obtaining a Back Hoe. ManagerMorey was
advised to obtain what information he could and report at next meeting.

as presented*
It was moved by Director Neugebauer and seconded by Director Kaspian
the bills of November 13, 1958 be paid.
