Minutes November 26, 1958 (Continued)
Manager Morey advised the Board Mr. Dick Joseph had presented a bill
to the District for a motor that had burned out Burring a power failure.
Mr. Morey advised the board he had checked with the Insurance Company
and felt they would take care of it,
Correspondence was read under date of November 18, 1958 from Chamberlain
and Chamberlain advising the Board the petition of I . 0. Gifford was
legal and that at least four months prior to the next election the.
necessary request should be taken care of.
Correspondence was read under date of November 18, 1958 from G. E. Lewis --
requesting the District to remove the floating easements which now
exists in his Deed with the District. Mr, Lewis advised the Board he
would furnish a drawing defining where the Utility easements should be
located. The Board decided to Waite for drawings before making any
decision.
There being no further business the Meeting was ajourned.

The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
District met in an regular meeting at the office of the District on
Main Street, at 9*30 AM*
Upon roll call -the following Directors were noted present:
George KaspianwJack Neugebauer.-Dan Dorman
Also present: _Mr. Leh, Cecil Edmunds and Daven Morey
The minutes of.the regular meeting of November 26, 1958 were pre-.
sented to each Director and upon motion made and carried were ap"
proved as presented.
It was moved by Director Kaspian and seconded by Director Horman
the bills of December 11, 1958 be paid.

Correspondence was received under date of December 8th, addressed to
George Kaspian from Fairbanks =Morse & Company, advising of new devel
opments in their generating plants. He asked to visit with the District
and discuss diesel generating. The Board advised he be notified to
appear before the Board in the near future.
Bids were opened for the advertised 5 Reclosers and 1 Disconnect Switch:
Two were received. Line Material x Reclosers 1, 754- 00 ea., Disconnect
Switch $320*00 ea. Total Bid $9,090e00, Sales Tax not included.
Linnecke Electric Company - Reclosers $1,400-00 ea. No bid was -received
on Disconnect Switch. Total Bid $7000.00. Bidders were to send com-
parative liturature on Reclosers for comparison.
Director B. R. King entered the meeting.
Mr. Leh who was present at the meeting explained -the work to be done
by Sierra Pacific Company in the coming year. He advised the Board
to delay action on bids until new plant is built in August or September
of 59. Bidders were to be notified of the delay.
Mr. Leh left the meeting.
One bid was received from Jack Rice for piece of land adjoing the fie,
Trailer Court, consisting of 3 acres. lst bid was $2,500-00 cash.
2nd bid 39000.00, 20% down with monthly payments to cover five
years with 6% interest. Director King moved the 2nd bid be accepted
under a Deed of trust, including easements and twenty years of electric
service with the District. It was second by Director Kaspian and so
carried.
"—` Discussion was held on retaining Mr. Leh for consultant purposes until
work load of the coming year had been completed. It was the Boards
feeling Mr. Leh would be available until August or September and it
should be brought up again at a latter date.
Progress report was given on I. 0. Gifford Petition. Mr. Chamberlain
was to be contacted.
Correspondence was received from Department of Health requesting the
District give a full report on water system to date in order to
complete application for permit.
Correspondence was received from G. E. Lewis asking a defined easement
be placedon his property instead of a floating easement. It was the
Boards d6cision to Waite for completion of freeway before defining
any definite easement,

Progress report was given on Electrical rind _Water jobs now in progress.
Three quotations were received on Back Hoe. Case Tractor Company,
Weaver Tractor Company and Sanford Tractor & Equipment Company. It
was the Boards decision Sanford Tractor Company send a representative
to the next meeting.
Manager Morey advised the Board Dick Joseph had inquired if he could
pay for piece of land he had aquired from District before the first
of the gear. It was in favor with the board and description would be
obtained for deed.
The board was notified the next meeting would be held Tuesday,
December 23rd, because of the Holiday...
There being no .further business the meeting was a journed.
