Minutes January 8, 1959 (Continued) Correspondence under date of December 30, 1958 was received from Paul H. Chamberlain asking the board to adopt the following Resolution. Tha following Resolution was then presented to the board and passed upon as noted. f General discussion was held on outstanding bills of Nevada Manage- ment and Crandall Brothers. Manager Morey advised the board Fairbanks Morse had beynotified to send a representative to our next meeting of January 22, 1959. B. R. King, Jr. entered the meeting. A progress report was given on pieve of land consisting of 2.194 acres next to Rice Trailer Court. A minimum bid of $3000*00 was set by the board. It was moved the piece of land be advertised for sale. There being no further business the meeting was ajourned. F is H. Before going into regular meeting the Board met in executive session. The Board then closed the executive session and opened in regular meeting. Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present: H.M. Welch"Dan HoMan-B. R. King, Jr. -George Kaspian-Jack Neugebauer Also present: Cecil Edmunds, Daven Morey and Chester Doerr. The minutes of the regular meeting of Jen nary 8, 1959 were presented to each Director and upon motion made and carried were approved as presented. A general discussion was held as to the need of Chester Doerr (Sup.- erintendent) services to the District. It was moved by Director Neugebauer and second by Director Kaspian, Mr. Doerrs employment be terminated as of February 1, 1959, with two weeks reverence pay allowed. It was so carried. It was moved by Director Kaspian and second by Director Neug$bauer that all credit cards be brought into the office for distribution. It was moved by Director Ding and second by Director Neugebauer, Karl Kielhofer be hired as Foreman, effective February 1, 1959. Correspondence was read under date of January 26, 1959 from Chamberlain & Chamberlain addressed to Bank of California, Auburn, California, advis. ing them of the Districts interest in purchasing the Crandall & Cowan properties recently foreclosed by the Bank. General discussion was held relative to purchasing the property. No decision- was reached and it was to be discussed at the next meeting in February. The following Resolution was the presented to the Board and passed upon as noted. Resolution ##5812 It was brought to the Board attention there would be a meeting with the Sierra Pacific representatives February 12, 1959, Paul Chamberlain is to be present at this meeting. RESOLUTION NUMBER 5812 OF TRUCKEE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT EMPLOYING EXPERT, F IR I NC AMOUNT OF C OMPE NSAT IO N PROVIDING FOR NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution Number 5811 of the Truckee Public Utility District, request was duly made of the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California for the certi- fication of experts in accordance with the provisions of Section 16,606 and following of the Public Utilities Code of the State of California, and WHEREAS, Pursuant to such request, said Public Utilities Commission did, pursuant to its Resolution dated January 20th, 1959, certify to this Board of Directors certain experts , in accordance with the provisions of said Utility Code Sections hereinabove referred to, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Truckee Public Utility District as follows: I That in accordance with the provisions of Section 16,610 of the Public Utilities Code said Board of Directors does hereby select and does hereby determine to employ the following named person as expert to examine and report on the matters hereinafter referred to in accordance with the provisions of Section 16,606 and following of the Public Utilities Code of the State of Calif- ornia; The person hereby employed as expert is EDWIN FLE ISCHMANN, 605 Market Street, San Francisco 5, California. II That the Compensation to be received by said expert for the examination, report, recommendation and suggestions in accordance with the Code sections hereinabove referred to, shall be computed at the rate of $140.00 per day plus expenses provided, however, that the total amount of said compensation of said expert shall not exceed the sum of $2,500.00. IIi The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized and directed to forthwith notify said expert Edwin Fleischmann of his appoint- ment as such expert and of the compensation hereinabove specified, the scope of his examination, report, recommendation and sugges- tion, the date of filing same, all as more particularly herein- after appears.
