June 30, 1959
The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public __Utility
District met in an regular meeting at the office of the District on
Main Street, at 8:35 PM.
Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present:
Ceceil Edmunds, B . R . King, Jr . , Lauren Russell
Absent: Dan Horman, George Kaspian
Also present: Eve Hallett, George Kenyon Mr & Mrs. Jack Gross,
Daven Morey, Hal Welch Betty Kielhofer , Jack Ellis,,
John Encgeu
The minutes of the regular meeting of June 9, 1959 were presented to
each Director and upon motion made and carried were approved as
presented.
It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director Edmunds
the bills of June 30, 1959 be paid.

Continued
Discussion was held on the District's yearly audit by Straine & Son.
Mr. Straine advised the board the District has outgrown it's present
bookkeeping system and it should be revised. He advised the inventory
had been taken of the Warehouse and all major items would be priced out.
Mr. Straine advised the board that in addition to the normal proceedures
followed in a "cash audit" of the books, the following proceedures will
be done.
1. Confirmation of Rec*.vables
A. Confirm all billings by negative confirmation.
B. Confirm selected receivables by positive confirmation.
2. Test check custone rs billings for correctness
3. Check physical existence of inventory and test check pricing
and extensions
4. Confirm selected accounts payable by positive confirmation.
5, Test check payroll for correctness of amounts paid.
6. Prepare consolidated statements of financial position and income,
7. Assist District in Job Order cost system.
8. Review system of internal control.
9, Prepare a statement of cash receipts and expenditures,
10, Prepare budget for 1959-1960 Fiscal year.
It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director Russell Harry
Straine & Sons be authorized to complete audit as outlines above, to-
gether with a drawing of budget for 1959-1960. So Carried.
It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director Russell the
Crandall accounts, Hilltop Lodge and Nevada Management be written off
the accounts of the District. So Carried.
It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director Russell a Res-
olution be adopted this date authorizing the following signatures on
District checks. Chairman of the Board, Clerk and Treasurer. Any two
of which will be legal, So Carried,
A petition which was presented to the board on October 24, 1957 was
reviewed. It advised the Board they were in favor of the Truckee Public
Utility District developing a recreational area on public property.
Consisting of Swimming Pool, Ice Rink, Tennis Court and Golf Course.
No action was taken at this time .
The Deed and Resolution for the sale of the Crandall -Cowan property was
reviewed. It was moved by Director Russell and second by Doctor Ed-
munds the deed should read all School children from 18 years ^under be
given a 4 0% reduction on all facilities. The Deed was then passed upon.
Clarence Osburn appeared before the board. He asked the Board to set
aside the money they would receive from the Crandall -Cowan property
sales for the construction of the Recreational area. He advised the
estimated cost to complete the project would be between 25,000. to
30,000.00 dollars. Considerable discussion was held on the above. It
was the Boards feeling due to the absence of two Directors a meeting
should be held July 1st with the full Board, The discussion was held
over until then.
Mr, Wetcamp and Mr, McKinley appeared before the Board. They advised
the Board Mr, Shane had approached them on the subject of water to his
property. At the present time he has a supply of water but when the
Recreation committee digs their pond it will stop his water source. He
would like assurance from the Board he can be furnished water when he
is ready for it .
It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director Russell Mr.
Chamberlain be notified to investigate right on South side spring*
