Correspondence was received under date of June 23, 1959 from Mrs.
David C. Rose requesting the lease of pasture land west of Highway
89 across Donner Creek. She wished to lease this piece of land
from June lst throught. September 15th for the next three years.
It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director Edmunds
the above piece of mentioned land be rented to Mrs. Rose on a
month to month rental,, $5,00 per month,, land must be fenced and
rental would cease upon sale of land.
A verbal request was made by Mr. Atkinson for a piece of land aj -
7w= oining his. It was the Boards feeling this land should be sold
in a lump sum and no small parcels should be sold at this time .
Discussion was held on Right of Way grant by the Sierra Pacific
Company for the installation of thier pole on the Districts property.
It was moved by Director Edmunds and Second by Director Russell that
in case of sale of property the Sierra Pacific should stand cost
of moving of pole in case it became necessary and they must agree
not to service any customers in our area, So carried.
It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director Edmunds
the Recreation Conuftittee be allowed to use the remainder of the
$5,000-00 ($3,000,00) for the hiring of equipment for construction
work on Recreational area. It was so carried.
Correspondence was received from Sierra Pacific Power asking for
a meeting date with the District. It was decided they be notified
the District was waiting for word from Mr. Chamberlain on agreement.
Discussion was held on the need of sixty poles. It was moved by
Director Russell and second by Director Edmund the necessary poles
be ordered. So carried.
Discussion was held on Street Light fixtures for Gateway.
George Kenyon, foreman cfthe District, gave a progress report on
work now in prgress and completed. He advised the Board the water
pressure at the Donner Trails Subdivision was very low and a pres-
sure pump should be installed to remedie same. It was moved by
Director Russell and second by Director Edmunds a pressure system
be installed in the DonnerTrailsSubdivision and check easement
for pump house.
The new contract (Union) for salaries was discussed. It was de-
cided the new rate changes be compiled and given to the Board for
their approval
There being no further business the meeting was journed.
