John Richards and Ed Holtz appeared before the board. Mr. Richards
advised the board his present water supply was getting low and he
asked the District to supply him with...same. Mr. Holtz expressed
he was having the same problem. The Board advised them the District
had plans at the present time to extend their lines to the Armstrong
Subdivision,which will be located in back of their property. Mr.
Armstrong will be contacted as to when he will require water and they
will be notified as to the progress. The District will furnish water
as soon as connect is ready.
N. F . Dolley appeared before the Board, relative to the Street
Lighting program, set up by Resolution #5807 on June 12th, 1958,
page 134, authorizing the District to install modern lighting along
Main Street and out as far as the junction of Highway 89 and the
Freeway. The Board advised Mr. Dolley this was in the Districts
plans and specifications are being obtained on same,
Discussion was then held on the pros and cons of recreation area.
Ways and means of financing was discussed. It was the Boards feeling
letters should be written to Banks requireing a $50, 000.00 loan.

The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
District met in an regular meeting at the office of the District on
Main Street, at 8 :15 PM .
Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present:
Edmunds, Kaspian, King
Also present: Daven Morey, George Kenyon, E. J. Hintz, Mrs, Cecil
Edmunds 'Mr & Mrs Karl Kielhofer, , Bob Moore, Clarence
Osburn , Jack Ellis, Mrs Donal Ryan and Mr. I. F irpo .
The Minutes of the regular meeting of July 14, 1959 were presented
to each Director and upon motion made and carried were approved as
presented.
It was moved by Director King and second by Director Edmunds the
bills of July 28, 1959 be paid .

Minutes July 28, 1959 Continued
Correspondence was read under date of July 23rd from Marc Leh of the
Erskine Engineers, relative to the new 13,800 KV service to be
furnished the District by the Sierra, --Pacific Power Company.
After discussion on the above subject it was moved by Director Edmunds
and second by Director King Paul H . Chamberlain be notified to write
Sierra Pacific Power Company requesting 13,800 KV service, supplied to
the District at point originally submitted by Manager of the District
and also investigate and report necessary steps on condemnation of
Donner Lake Line .
The above motion was passed on by the following vote:
Ayes: Edmunds,
Noes: None
Absent: Horman
Kaspian, King, Russell
Manager Morey advised the board the District was in need of a 2" pump
for the South Side Springs. Correspondence was read from Fairbanks
Morse Company quoting a price of $1,100.60 for the pump bbeded .
It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director Russell the
District order the above pump immediately. So carried.
Manager Morey reported the District now has $ 223.34 on their books as
uncollectables .
It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director King the
above uncollected bills in the amount of $58.93 water and $164.41 Elec-
tric be cleared from the Districts records. It was so carried,
Correspondence was read under date of July 27, 1959 from G . E . Lewis
requesting a piece of land located South of US 40 freeway, at an
offer of $ 3 0, 000.00 for the approximate 65 acres. It was the boards
feeling they were not interested in selling at this time.
It was reported that at the present time the District was in the
process of having a survey made of all. land, acreage and vduation
and a map is being comprised to show same .
Correspondence was read under date of July 27, 1959 from Bank of
America, Truckee, Lee Apple , Manager relative to the Districts request
for a $ 5 0 , 000.00 loan. He advised our request had been turned over to
their lawyers and they advised the District had no legal power to
borrow money in the manner contemplated, therefore the request was
denied.
Discussion was held on advertising for bids on pipe for the golf course,
It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director Russell the
District advertise forlilds , for necessary pipe needed for golf course.
The above motion was passed on by the following vote:
Ayes: Edmunds,
Noes: None
Absent: Horman
Kaspian, King, Russell
Discussion was held on purchasing a Ford Tractor for use on the golf
course and water supply for golf course.
Discuss ion was held on purchasing a hydraulic lift, to be installed
on the District Power Wagon.
It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director King a hydrau-
lic lift be purchased and installed on Power Wagon for use of dumping.
It was so carried.
