Discussion was held on other sources of obtaining purchased power for
the District. It was the boards feeling all fields should be looked into.

The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
District met in an regular meeting at the office of the District on
Main Street, at 8 : 45 PM .
Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present:
Edmunds, Horman, Kaspian, Russell
Absent: King
Also Present; Daven Morey, Morris Wimberly, Louie Ramirez, Rodney Knox,
Goerge Kenyon, E . J . Hintz , I. F irpo , Mrs. C . Edmunds, „_„
Mr. Reedy, Robert Fugazi, Betty Keilhofer, Clarence
Osburn, Jack Ellis and Karl Kielhofer.
The minutes of the regular meeting of July 28, 1959 were presented to
each Director and upon motion made and carried were approved as presented.

Bids for assorted supply of pipe, valves, fittings, etc. Q14
having been advertised for in the Sierra Sun, three bids were received, Cr
the bids from the following firms were opened.
Bid Received:
Alpha Hardware Company Grass Valley, California
Crane Company Reno, Nevada
Bob Baldock Fresno, California
Upon reviewing the bids it was decided to give the Trans ite pipe and
Buckner fittings to Bob Baldock, Fresno, California and the remainder of
the bid to Crane Company, Reno, Nevada.
Discussion was held on Street Lighting extending from the Main street of
Truckee to the junction of Highway 89. Type of lighting and cost of
installation was discussed. It was moved the discussion be held over to
the next meeting.
A copy of the proposed budget for the 1950-60 fiscal year was given to
each Director. It was moved discussion of the budget be held over to
the meeting of August 20, 1959.
Manager Morey advised the board G . E . Lewis was willing to give the
District a 12" well for a pump site, if the District would put in water
system to serve the present customers in Deerfield Village. It was brought
to the boards attention that about a year ago the State Park had set aside
a pieve of land in that general area to enlarge their vacilities . It
was the boards feeling the Park Commission should be contacted before
any arrangements were made.
Discussion was held on setting a price on 61 acres of land west of High-
way 89 and south of Donner Creek, No action was taken at this time.,
Discussion was held on quit claim deed for Shell Oil Company, to be
located at Deerfield Village. They requested the removal of certain
"Floating Easements",, which were reserved at the time the land was sold
to G . E . Lewis. It was the boards feeling the conditions of the original
sale should remain in force,
Discussion was held on service point for Deerfield Village. It was the
boards feeling G . E . Lewis pay for construction of power lines.
Mr. Reedy of the Siesta Motel & Trailer Court, appeared before the board, with
his attorney Robert A. Fugazi . Mr. Fugazi advised the board his client,
Mr, Reedy, felt and injustice had been done him, when his lights were
turned off on July 7. 1959. He advised his client would like an assurance
he would be treated as any other customer, under same circumstances. Mr.
Reedy requested a letter of apology be written and signed by Mr. Morey.
The Board apologized for the inconvenience that was caused he and his tenants .
Discussion was held on loan. It was reported the Banks were waiting for
the 1959 financial statement, to be completed before answering request for
loan.
It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director Edmunds $5000.O0
be allocated to the Recreation Fund for immediate expenses, balance of
$15 , 000.00 subject to Bank loan or payable in 60 days.
The above motion was passed on by the following vote*
Ayes: Edmund, Horman , Kaspian , Russell
Noes: None
Absent: King
Some discussion was held on ways and means of building a Club House at
new Golf Course site.

August 20, 1959
The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
District met in a special meeting with representatives of Harry
Straine and Sons = Accountants, at the office of the District on
Main Street , at 8 : 00 PM .
Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present:
Edmunds, Horman, Kaspian, Russell
Absent: King
Also present: Daven Morey, Eve Hallett, Mayne Hamr is and Warren T it son .
Warren wat over the financial statements with the board for the
fiscal year ended June 30, 1959.
Discussion was held on ways and means of raising the revenue of the
District. The following suggestions were made:
1, Raise water rates.
2. Check all electric & water meters for accuracy.
3 . Read more water meters sooner in the spring .
4 . Put Lumber Company's on contract, with a minimum charge in
the winter months.
5. Make house to house cVck on HC1, HC2 customers.
6. Install block system of billing for HC1 and HC2 rates.
7, Cut Directors Salary
8 . Raise Power Rates,
9. Discontinue 10% discount on electricity.
Warren advised the board he felt the insurance coverage for the ware-
house inventory and office equipment was low, He advised a calculator
be purchased for the billing department.
.._ The 1959-60 budget was reviewed.
George Kaspian, chairman of the board, asked the boards permission to
rent the District's compressor for one day. Permission was granted.
