Director Horman entered the meeting. Loan to be Correspondence was read under date of September 1, 1959, from Catherine Kastris, advising she would be present at the board of Directors meetin on September 8, 1959, to discuss the sale of 65 acres on Highway 89. Miss Kastris appeared before the board, she advised her associates were interested in purchasing 68 acres of Utility land on Highway 89. G . E . Lewis appeared before the Board. He advised that he was also interested in the 68 acres of land on Highway 89. Discussion was held on his plan of developement . It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director Horman the District advertise land south of Freeway, sections in 16 & 17, approximately 68 acres, under terms and conditions set down by the District and on file in District office. Minimum bid not less than $51, 000. plus specified utilities through property, with reasonable scheme of developement. District reserves rights to reject any or all bids. The above motion was passed on by the following vote: Ayes: Edmunds, Noes: None Absent: Kaspian Horman, King, Russell Manager Morey advised the board Mr. Tol lefson had been in the office asking water be brought to his property. It was the boards feeling arrangements should be made to do same. General discussion was held on progress of golf course. Discussion was held on building of a club house to house pro shop, living quarters and bar. Ways and means of running gol cour se, It was suggested a governing board be set up consisting of 2 members of the Board of Directors,, 2 . members of the Recreation group and 1 outside person. Anyone who is interested in building club house should contact the board of Directors. It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director Russell $5 , 000.00 be transfered from the water fund to the Recreation fund. Correspondence was read under date of August 26, 1959, from Division of Highways, Marysville, advising the board they would pay for the line extension only. District must furnish transformers and other. such equipment needed to deliver usable power to the service point. All Highway lighting and signs will be metered by the District. Correspondence was read under date of September 5, 1959 from Chamberlain & Chamberlain, advising of a change of date of the meeting with Sierra Pacific Power. The new date is September 17, 1959. Correspondence was read under date of August 25, 1959. from Department of Public Health, relative to our water supply permit status. They asked we prepare a letter which will outline furture plans for com- pleting the improvements to the system, they in return will then process our permit application. Duplicate counterparts of proposed agreement between Southern Pacific Company and District were presented the board for their approval. The Board asked they be held over until the next meeting. Correspondence was read from George Kenyon, foreman of the District, asking for resignation effective September 15, 1959. The resignation was so accepted by the board . �0 2 Minutes September 8, 1959 Continued Acting Chairman King called a special meeting for September 22, 1959. King, Jr. -Acting Chairman Truckee, California September 22, 1959 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in a special meeting at the office of the District on Main Street , at 8 : 00 PM . Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present: Edmunds, Kaspian, Russell Absent: Horman, King Also present: Daven Morey, Morris Wimberly, Louie Ramirez, E. J. Hintz Mike Popov ich , Jack Ellis Correspondence was read under date of August 28, 1959, from Paul H. Chamberlain in reference to People V . Moore, el al. TruckeePubl is Utility District, Nevada County No. 12136. He advised the board the State will undertake steps to the prompt dismissal of the District from this suit. Correspondence was read under date of September 9, 1959, from Paul H. Chamberlain advising the board he had been contacted by the Sanitary and Health Departments, advising him an existing road going through the new proposed ball park had been moved and was in bad condition. They asked the road be put in passable condition. It was so ordered. Progress report was given on Golf Course. Director Horman entered the meeting. Manager Morey gave a report on the meeting with Sierra Pacific Power He advised Sierra Pacific Power will not furnish 13,800 KV, unless service area agreement is signed. Discussion was held on condemnation of the Donner Lake Line. Ways and means of obtaining power through other sources. Director King entered the meeting Morris Wimberly appeared before the board, he advised he was interested the Foremans job. He was advised his application would be considered along with the rest the District had received.
