It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director Horman
$5 , 000.00 be transfered from the electric fund to the Recreation Fund,
Correspondence was read under date of October 6. 1959, from M . C .
Leh, relative to the new proposed line to serve Gateway. It was h i s
recommendation the District start construction of the line immediately
in order to meet the peak. He advised he would be available on
Oct 15 and 16 to go over the program. Members of the board will meet
with him at that time.
Manager Morey advised the board the exposed line at the Donner Pump
was being repaired by Fredrickson & Watson.
The 1959-60 budget was reviewed. It was the boards feeling at least
a 2 years comparison should be available to compare with the pro-
posed budget. Harry Straine & Son will be advised to furnish same.
Martin Engebretsen appeared before the board. He advised he was
interested in purchasing a acre of land. The District was unable
to help him.
A progress report was given on the Golf Course. It was reported
the District would have a definite answer on thier application for
a loan on Thursday, Oct. 15th. It was advised the bill for the
pipe for the Golf Course was now due and payable .
Correspondence was read under date_of October 12, 1959, from Preston
L. Wright, in which he outlined a proposal with regards to electric
and water installation to the Truckee Heights Subdivision. After
reviewing the proposal it was felt a survey should be made of the
proposed lines., and looked into further before making any decisions.
N . F . Dol ley advised the board the Fire Department was considering
building a f ire house at Gateway.
The requirements and restrictions for the 68 acres advertised by
the District was reviewed. The following changes were made.
1. OK 2, Change to read: Submit outline of the proposed use and
development of the land with 50 acre development within five years.
Land must be used for residential and commercial use only, no parcel
of land sold unimproved . All undeveloped land will revert back to
the District within five years. 3. Same as before: Add: to be
dedicated to the County for public use. 4, OK 5. OK 6. OK 7 O .K
8. OK 9. OK 10.0init It was moved a new copy of the restrictions
be given to G . E . Lewis for his consideration.
Correspondence was read under date of September 29, 1959, from
Robert Culpepper, relative to the purchase of the Tahoe Y property.
The State has this piece of property tied up at the present time,
but the District will except any offer they wish to make for future
reference.
