The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
District met in a regular meeting at the office of the District on
Main Street, at 8 :10 PM*
Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present:
Edmunds, Horman, King, Russell
Absent: Rose
Also present: Daven Morey, Mrs, Cecil Edmunds, Harold Harden
Minutes of the regular meeting of January 26, 1960 were presented to
each Director and upon motion made and carried were approved as
presented.
It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director Horman the
bills of February 9. 1960 be paid.

It was reported the Hirsdale Dam Site would give 2400 firm power capacity.
It was asked Marc Leh be advised to § ive a report on same,
Specifications for water and power installations were gone over, after
some changes It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director
Harman the specifications be accepted.
The above motion was passedon by the following vote:
Ayes Horman, King, Russell
Noes Edmunds
Absent: Rose
Correspondence was read under date of Bebruary 4, from Department of
Education advising the board the District must get clearence to
establish elegibility to procure surplus property as a Civil Defense
Organization, It was suggested Mr, Charles Weeks be contacted. The
Board so ordered.
It was reported adds for General Manager had been placed in American
City, Water Works Engineering and Power Engineering.
Correspondence was read under date of February 2, from Mrs. L . S .
Dumas advising she felt her tenants were being billed to much for
water. Her problem was reviewed by the board and found they were
being billed according to the Districts rules .
Manager Morey advised the Board the Chamber of Commerce had asked
for assistance in hanging the Olympic Decorations.
It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director Horman the request i�..
of the Chamber of Commerce be granted.
Manager Morey advised the board Mrs. Tonini would be leaving the
District soon. He asked the boards permission to advertise for a
secretary with bookkeeping experience, The board suggested he take
applications for the position.
Manager Morey advised the board Harry Stout had been in the office to
ask the Districts permission to use road on Districts peroperty, in
back of Meadow Lake for an access road for logging trucks . It was the
boards decision he should check with the County first*
It was brought to the boards attention that certain District property
had been sold with certain qualifications and restrictions and it was
felt they should be carried through.
Restrictions on the sale of land to G . E . Lewis were gone over.
Manager Morey presented to the board a deed for Fred & Arlene I. Jensen
for signature .
It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director Horman a resolution
be adopted and the chairman execute document in name of District.
Correspondence was read under date of January 28th from Division of
Highways asking the District to execute an agreement between the Truckee
Public Utility District and the Pacific Tel & Tel Company for joint
occupancy of poles . The board wished to know why such an easement was
required.
It was brought. to the boards attention that last July E . J . Hintz was
told by the board he would get an aj ustment the first of the year on
his salary in the amount of $50.00/
It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director Horman an increase
of $5 0.00 per month be given E . J . Hintz.
