King , Jr . , Chairman Patsy Tonir, Acting Secretary Truckee, California February 23, 1960 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in a regular meeting at the office of the District on Main Street, at 8 : 3 0 PM . Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present: Horman, King, Russell Absent: Edmunds, Rose Also present: Daven Morey, Harold Harden, H. Redford, E . J. Hintz, Go E . Lewis,, Charles Weeks, E . Setzer and James Martin . Minutes of the regular meeting of February 9, 1960 were presented to each Director and upon motion made and carried were approved as presented. It was moved by Director Russell and second by Director Horman the bills of February 23, 1960 be paid. Setzer met with the board relative to <:the requirements of the District: for the purchase of surplus property. Go E. Lewis appeared before the board. 1 He presented a use map, show- ing proposed developement of 1 and . He advised the State owned 30 acres ajoining his property and the development of same would effect his plans, He advised the above map may have to be changed to correspond with same. The board asked he present a percentage usage of land to the board for approval* He so agreed. Manager Morey advised the board a letter had been written to the Public Utilities Commission advising them of our problem with Sierra Pacific Power Company and the low voltage situation. He advised the letter had been sent to Paul Chamberlain for legal advise and mailing. Foreman Harold Harden presented to the board a chart showing fluctuation of power from Sierra Pacific sub station. He reported the new line behind Truckee had been completed and all was needed was hookup by Sierra Pacific* Due to the develpements which have occured it was suggested a meeting be arranged with the Public Utilities Commission. It was advised the board wait until they hear from Chamberlain before setting a date. The Manager was asked to write a letter to Sierra Pacific Power Company asking for hook up on new line. Applications for Secretary -Bookkeeper were presented to the board. After reviewing of same it was the boards opinion Elenor Capel should be notified to report to work on April 1, 1960. Manager Morey ad- vised the board Eve Hallett requested a raise, The board denied the request at the present time. E . J . Hintz, foremen of the Water Department advised the board two miles of water mains, in Truckee proper were in very bad condition and needed to be repl aced . He was advised to report this to the Engineer. Manager Morey advised the board an application for General Manager had been received from Duane Brov*ing . Letter and qualifications were read. The board advised that arrangements be made for an interview on March 5th at noon at the Utility office* Manager Morey advised the board he would like the remainder of the week off . So Granted.
