A bid for $ 2 , 800.00 was read from Jack Mellugin. Chairman King also gave information regarding a building owned by Sugar Bowl and prices of an Armco building obtained by Manager Bell. King, Chairman Truckee, California June 28, 1960 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in a regular meeting at the office of the District on Main Street at 8 : 00 PM . A motion was made by Director Russell and seconded by Director Kielhofer that the minutes of the regular meeting of June 14, 1960, and the special meeting of June 21, 1960, be approved. A storage tank with Pump would be necessary to supply all lots. Mr. Stout suggested the possibility of obtaining water from Alder creek. Board instructed the Manager to look into this possibility. Manager advised Board District had no safe and in the event of a f ire all important papers would be destroyed. He also brought up the fact that new meters be installed as quite a number of them were not metering properly and District was losing money, He also advised Board that a radio system would soon pay for itself and save the District considerable time loss. Mr. Stout stated public opinion was against Straine and Sons as they did not feel they were giving a true picture to public of how District's money was being spent, Discussion was held on obtaining a $50, 000.00 loan using the golf course as collateral. Manager was instructed to look into the possibility of such a loan-, Chairman King stated Mr. Bel l ah , of McGuire & Son, had called him and told him they got the impression that the Board did not intend to follow their master water plan and they would like to withdraw,, Discussion was held on Board's purchasing master water plan. The Board agreed they would like to purchase the master plan if mutual arrangements could be agreed upon for financing the plan, Discussion was held on the low commercial water rates in respect to the domestic rates.
