HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-12-13 Min - BoardMinutes November 29, 1960 Continued Mr, Dolley was to meet with his Board and draw up a list of specif ications and then submit them to the Utility Board at their next meeting* Secretary was requested to write a letter to Mr. DeLuca telling him he had been hired as Managing Pro and request that he meet with the Board to go over salary and other details. Subject of the hearing pending with the Utility Commission was discussed. Manager Bell had started preliminary work on the costing. Board { discussed having George Erskine and Associates handle the matter for the District. Chairman King stated he would contact them to find their charge and then Board could decide whether or not to hire them. A special meeting was called for Tuesday, December 6, 1960. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. Be R . King, Chairman Eleanor Fulcher, Acting.Secretary Truckee, California December 6, 1960 The Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in a special meeting at the office of the District on Main Street at 8 PM . Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present: Edmunds, Horman, Kielhofer, King, Russell. Also present:' Mr. Krucha, Mrs. Edmunds, Mr. Holtz, He Harden, Be Taylor, R . Hackett, R . Walker, Chairman King gave a report of his telephone conversation with Mr. Leh of George Erskine & Associates regarding their handling of the hearing with the P U C . Chairman King stated Mr., Leh had told him that he didn't think District was ready for the hearing. He suggested that District ---,would need a Manager to be able , to present a proper case before the Commission:: Also, an assured loan for the transmission line and substation be obtained before hearing is requested. Further action was set aside pending the hiring of a manager. Discussion was held upon the selection of a Manager. Chairman King felt someone should be in charge until a permanent manager could be selected. It was moved by Director Russell and seconded by Director Kielhofer that Harold Harden be put in as Acting Manager until a decision can be made by the Board. Motion carried. Further discussion on hiring a Manager was put off to an executive session at the end of the meeting . Discussion was held for the official opening day of the golf course.
